2014 NBA |OT| Let's just wait it out. Be NKY/LAL fans and lose our games together.

Rose should work on becoming more of a spot up shooter, if he hasn't already. Playing daredevil is the way to a short career, his body just won't allow it.

Sucks about Rose. This guy was an MVP for crying out loud and has just fallen off a cliff. Makes me wonder if he just had a natural propensity for injury or if his play style contributed. Maybe that attacking/explosive sort of PG just has a shorter shelf life, like the NBA version of a running back. Makes me worry for Westbrook or guys like Wall.

it's his style of play. No one can sustain the reckless shit he does for 82 games a season.

The only dude I've seen play that way and be durable was Iverson, but he often fell to the ground instead of landing awkwardly.

Rose has to change his game or he's done.

So Rondo and Carlisle got into it which resulted in him benching Rondo for the rest of the game late during the 3rd.

Supposedly it was over Rick asking Rondo to timeout. /shrug

espn link on it

This is a really interesting situation.

Usually winning cures all afflictions (or most, at least). And yet here we have Dallas -- probably one of the Western favorites -- having this kind of drama with their new starting PG despite being in good shape for a nice playoff run.

It's sort of bewildering. I expect these sorts of things if you're on a losing team...but up by double-digits? The fuck is going on in Dallas.

They are red hot right now. They are more alive than ever. Some struggle is good. Some tension is needed to win. The Mavs are for real.

The Mavs ain't shit. Maybe in 2008 this roster would be a contender but not now.

There's a reason they made the Rondo trade--desperation. He was their hail mary and it didn't work.

Rose only got that MVP vote that year because his name wasn't Lebron James. If he had that same year any other year but the season when Lebron went to South Beach then no one would even have considered him as a legit candidate for the award.

He got that shit for people confusing his lack of social tact for being some sort of humble figure in a time where the biggest star in the league threw up a bunch of middle fingers towards humbleness and humility. Shit, only thing he should've earned that year was the Do The Right Thing award.

It's still a shame to see any decent player hurt so often and consistently but most players would've altered their game to make them less likely to reaggravate an injury like this. Rose kept trying to play like dwade circa 2006-2008, just throwing his body into the paint and making plays where the risk of injury was greater than what he could afford, all the while his midrange game didn't see the improvements needed for someone with paper knees. He needs to adjust or humbly accept being a 6th person.

He got it for being the only star in the team (where fucking Bogans was his partner in the backcourt) with the best record in the division while putting up amazing numbers for a PG, and helping sweep the Heat.

It's one thing to say "Lebron should've won it that year" and another to say "Rose wasn't a legit candidate". Chill with that, he was ridiculous that season.

But yeah, there really hasn't been enough adjustment on his part.

Well I wouldn't say red hot but they are getting results. The wins don't look pretty (and they'll probably lose to Atlanta if the game's not cancelled) but adding Amar'e has definitely boosted Devin and Barea.

Nothing will be decided about Rondo until the playoffs. And I'm not talking about "Playoff Rondo" either - the Mavs made the trade to make noise in the playoffs this year and next year, and it's not the playoffs yet.

Doc Holliday

SPOILER: Columbus finds America
Didn't he just come off a major injury? :)

And Iverson is, without question, the toughest player in the history of the league, so you can't even bring him up. Rose needs to just calm down and listen to his body.

He's had 3 surgeries already. Westbrook knees are going to be pretty bad by the time he gets to 30.

Right guys? ...guys?

I'm all for the Mavs, but come on.

In what world are the Mavs one of the Western favorites?

Everyone knows how I feel about the Mavs, but there's no favorites out West.

Especially now OKC is in the playoff picture, any series is a toss up.

I woke up this morning and thought my NBA app was broken and giving me last year's Rose injury again.. It felt like Groundhog Day. First time I was devastated, second time I was depressed, this time all I can do is laugh.

In other news... Nate Robinson wants to come back to the Bulls. lol, I say bring him and have a "fuck you threes" back court of Nate and Brooks. What could go wrong? Teams would score 200 against the Bulls, but so what at this point?

OKC loaded up on depth. If Durant can get healthy they will be a very real threat. Kanter was a great addition. He's obviously a huge upgrade from Perks corpse at this point, and he adds some legitimate scoring down low.

The frequent injuries the current gen athletic/aggressive PGs keep having have made me realize how much of a G Iverson was. Dude would run through a wall at full speed.

Jason Smith has 4 rebounds in less than 5 minute against the Celtics. There are few things I wouldn't do to get a legitimate defensive center in Boston.

"Number of FT's Isaiah Thomas has made in Boston: 23 (3 games). Number of FT's Rajon Rondo has made all season: 19 (47 games)." - @CelticsHub

Lol, apparently this is Evan Turners first triple double. The Knicks should be ashamed.

IT is ballin. They need that spark plug in the future to close. He leads the league in 4th quarter points apparently.
