2016 NFL Week 4 - At Least You're Not The Browns

Ugh I hate that I'm still debating if I should skip class to watch the game...I mean I know we are going to lose....why can't I stop caring about this shitty team!

eh, you'll probably enjoy it more if you just dvr it and get a beer and pizza on the way home from class.

if you miss class and they lose, (which is a pretty likely scenario) then you'll just end up feeling all the worse for missing class, on top of being a fan of a team located in florida that almost lost to the browns.

Just had a dude in my gov class say that blacks hate whites more than whites hate blacks. Also black people commit more crimes that's why they make up a bigger portion of prison population and they make up the biggest portion of welfare recipients.

You have a Pats fan in your class?

You are right, I should think logically about this,

Well spoken for a Pats fan.

Might have a future in politics.

Worst I heard in college is when someone defended excluding gay people in the military because they aren't tough enough to serve.

The plausibility of an eight-game schedule, of course, raises questions about a permanent team. Waller has told me for a few years that 2022—15 years after the launch of the UK effort—was the target. Asked if that’s still realistic, Waller said, “I still think so. Absolutely.” He’s especially encouraged by not only the popularity of two new NFL shows on the BBC—the Tuesday and Saturday broadcasts average about a million viewers a pop—but also the demographics. It has the youngest audience of any program on the network.

The professor was talking about a racism stat from our book and asked the class why blacks and other minorities feel racism is a bigger problem than whites and why. Another gem was it's the media's fault for blowing up race problems specifically when it comes to police killing unarmed black people.

I wish the nfl would drop this London nonsense already. What team is going to move to London anyway? Before someone says jags they aren't moving their lease situation won't allow it.

4 home, 4 away, 4 home, 4 away

It wouldn't be much of an issue until a London team had a Home Playoff Game.

I meant more what the difference in their stats would look like playing a jet lagged team at home versus being the jet lagged team on the road. I imagine there would be quite a difference.

The Colts don't have a bye next week. They are the first "test" of a team going over and back w/o a bye on either side

Interesting. I'm guessing they've already flown over there by now? I think coming back would be the real problem, but we'll see.

That throwing stick stunt of yours has boomeranged on us.
It's more about getting equipment over there in time. Teams currently get that stuff over there weeks in advance. With a Playoff game you'd have a lot of logistical issues.

I meant on a permanent basis, but had no clue about then sending stuff over there weeks in advance.

Some teams fly over early and some travel as usual. But yeah, thus far the teams have always had the bye the week after. Colts don't, or sorta don't (Bears)

this is really cool

kind of disagree about the Panthers probability though. I just can't see them not making the playoffs

Their OL is horrible and Cam has gotten the snot beat out of him so far. They also let Norman walk and their D doesnt look like it did last year so afr. It could all be SB losers hangover and they snap out of it soon, but with the Falcons looking much better then anyone could have guessed I could totally see them missing the playoffs this year.

Depends on the Falcons. If it's a situation like last year where they start hot then fold then yeah. But at the very least they should get a WC. I don't see them going under 11-5, and the rest of the NFC is looking pretty weak right now.

They have played the two worst defenses in the league through 3 weeks. Meanwhile the Panthers lost to two teams that are 3-0.

Once Carolina loses to the Falcons, I'll start to put some stock into what you're saying.

EDIT: Know who the 3rd worst defense is? Atlanta.

We will continue this on Sunday then around 4pm best coast time.

Edit: I had no idea the Falcons D was so bad. Watching the 9ers Panthers game though it felt like the 9ers terrible WR's were getting open just that Blame couldnt get the ball to them. I think Matty Ice will put up points on them, the only question is can the Falcons pass rush generate pressure against the terrible Panthers OL.

CAR's is good. They've just run up against two good defenses. Kinda remind me of SEA last year where they were still good at the beginning of the year but just a little bit off

Not only that, they played the two best defenses in the league.

NFL told the Lions that the official was wrong in calling pass interference on the 60 yard throw in the second quarter. Thanks a lot

Wentz needs to throw a more catchable ball. He's bouncing it too hard off of his receivers hands and they are the ones taking the blame for it.
