Gorgeous. Looks like something out of a film.

How is this game by the way?

It's a free to play sim with not so much free content and plagued by expensive microtransactions. You can buy certain packs on Steam or on their own store to get stuff for cheaper, or you can wait for discounts (don't believe in their everyday "discount" tag, tho. They love to say that content X is under 90% of discount when it's not on discount at all). But, on the other hand, their content tend to be amazing. There are no road cars; only race cars ranging from slow but funny stuff to some beasts that go beyond 300 Km/h. There's a nice selection of tracks to buy too, and there are online time trial competitions where you can try and earn some RVPs (the game's currency) to spend on their store.

I've never raced online, so I can't tell you how it is. I only play solo. The gameplay is superb, even with just a Xbox 360 pad. Awesome physics, except for the collision physics, that is really weird. If you are a clean racer, this won't get much in your way, but it is a problem they need to solve. It is an ever evolving game, although they work with a very small team, so the development pace is slow. Visually it is very simple, but it looks nice overall, and the AI does its job, I guess, but it could be better.

You can download it for free if you wanna try. :)

Okay cool! Thanks for the explanation, I'll try and give it a go sometime, thanks again!

Thanks man. It's a combination of AO and Deband (though the latter was not used with both) I'm currently playing around with. Can add a little extra to the scene definitely.

Still I have no idea why DoF is not working the way I want it to in 2.13f tho. Worked fine with 1.1.

Oh I forgot to mention chromatic aberration! I love me a slight chromatic aberration!! Other than that I oriented on the tweaks Midhras did with his ReShade.

In reshade v1 all depth buffers were seen as positive, while the depth buffers of most open world games were actually reversed. In v2 this was corrected. So to have the DoF of The Witcher 3 work properly in Reshade 2.0.3f, go to:
Reshade\Profiles\Default, edit Global.cfg to:
Code:
#define RESHADE_DEPTH_LINEARIZATION 1 //[0:1] //-Set this to zero for games without depth buffer access or if you do not use any depth dependent effects.
#define RESHADE_DEPTH_LINEARIZATION_FAR_PLANE 1000.0 //[0.0:100000.0] //-The far clipping plane distance.
#define RESHADE_DEPTH_INPUT_IS_UPSIDE_DOWN 0 //[0:1] //-Set this to one for games where the depth buffer is upside down.
#define RESHADE_DEPTH_INPUT_IS_REVERSED 1 //[0:1] //-Set this to one for games using a reversed depth buffer.
#define RESHADE_DEPTH_INPUT_IS_LOGARITHMIC 1 //[0:1] //-Set this to one for games using a logarithmic depth buffer.

If you're using 2.0.3's latest shaders, you can make DoF a little easier with mouse based auto-focus too (the autofocus point is the mouse cursor). Set DOF_MOUSEDRIVEN_AF to 1 (and autofocus to 1 of couse) in Shaders_by_MartyMcFly.cfg. To see the mouse cursor, set USE_MOUSEOVERLAY to 1 in Shaders_by_Otis.cfg. If you now press Pause you get a nice red dot which are the mousecoordinates for Reshade. Press pause again to get rid of it. It's not needed to make mousedriven AF to work, but it's a nice helper to get the focus point set more easier. Within The Witcher the freecam is also using the mouse so it's a little messy (move the cursor to the right screen location, move the camera back with the controller), but once you get over that it's quite handy.

Hope this helps you continue shoot awesome shots, DE ;)

I don't know if a way to change the FOV without a controller. But using that camera without a controller is awful. The speed is nuts. Analog movement is waaaaay better.

I tried every key on the keyboard, but to my knowledge there's no FoV control with the freecam. But as Jim said, it's unusable with keyboard, IMHO. Get yourself a wired xbox360 controller for almost nothing, way easier. ;) Game plays also better with controller btw ;)

Thanks guys. I recently downloaded a FOV slider mod but it's little use since the lowest it can go is 40. I've also tried every key with Debug Console Enabler's freecam but to no avail. And yeah, the camera speed is insane with it and it makes taking shots a real pain in the butt. Got to make that controller priority number 1 or maybe 2 since my keyboard's E and A keys are typing multiple eeee and aaaa letters with just one keystroke -.-

Yeah 2.13f is somewhat different from 1.1. but if you copy your exact DoF setting values from 1.1. to 2.13f and start tweaking from there you should be good to go, at least, that's what I did and it worked well. Plus what Otis said.

The most monocultural field in the history of video game fields. There are some amazing grass mods out there that make Skyrim's environments believable. A single texture like this looks... weird.

If this runs near a playable framerate in realtime it is impressive for this engine nontheless

Sorry for being slightly off-topic here but is anyone aware of a guide on how to use the hattiwatt1 tools specifically for Dark Souls 3? I got the rar and inside are three files that explain nothing at all.

Most mods other than textures mods are broken with the 1.20/21 patch, so be careful when you update your game to the latest patch: freecam etc. aren't updated yet and won't work.

Then again the game looks noticeably better than before in some aspects. They have improved object/foliage streaming a lot. Also, water/underwater seems to have been updated as well as those look significantly better at times.

Hey, Auto-Reply.

Thought I'd mention that I've really been enjoying your Underworld shots. Surprisingly interesting looking game at times, especially the enviroments. I was under the impression it was released during the low years of TR along with Angel of Darkness.
