I wish the second was slightly better but I am happy with this very rough and annoying way of getting some alright shots that don't have the player character and do have some depth of field. I wish this game just had a proper photo mode so it was easier to capture how amazing the game looks.

Thx :)

ReShade was used. But solely to take screenshots. Think I also used .17 or something for sharpening.
I think Anthemios' gallery is the one that deserves 'holy fucking shit' though. :p
They're indeed nice, the game doesn't help in that you can't take shots the way you want from interesting scenes though (nothing of camera tooling available, so it's what you can reach using wallhugging), so it's often a shot of a random part of town. Which is nice / ok, but it sadly takes serious effort / luck to make that an interesting shot beyond a nice looking shot (not criticizing Anthemios here at all, the game isn't offering much here). What surprised me about these shots you linked to though is the tremendous amount of views vs. the # of favorites. As if many people viewed the shots but almost none of them liked them... Which is kind of sad, as some of them are really good and tell more than the 'building at street x and y' story.

The thing about views\favorites on Flickr is that the most recent shots tend to get the most love (due to the way your Flickr front page works). Anthemios does not care about any of that and tends to upload in bulk. That is counter-productive on Flickr if you WANT faves... but he doesn't.

His shots are great though, and they were all from the beta! The full game has so many gorgeous areas to take screenshots of but... meh, I can't be bothered. Ubisoft made it always-online which means it's pretty hack proof.

Crazy to think that at one point, Underworld's Lara was one of the highest poly in-game character models.
It was the best of times, it was the worst of times....

Lol jk :P

I don't remember that myself, but I could believe that for 2009. Her model is really well defined in a lot of ways. The animation is really nice too actually.

Yeah I know, but that's not what I meant. What you refer to is indeed not productive if you want favorites: if you upload 20 shots in one go, the last couple will likely not be seen by many. But that's the thing here: the shots in that gallery, especially the first dozen, have > 20000 views (!) but < 20 favorites, some < 10. That surprised me a bit, as the shots *are* viewed by a tremendous amount of people. Perhaps visitors from reddit who don't have a flickr account, but it did looked odd, he should have received way more favorites with those kind of view numbers.

Did they change a lot from the beta though in the final game? (besides fixing 'resizing the screen == CTD I recon ;)).

The hud is indeed a problem, so is the camera... :/ Wallhugging during the beta was 'ok', but it was quite tedious and boring after a while, (same as the game, IMHO)

Yeah, it was quite well done at the time, although you could see how they were struggling to reconcile Lara's... unusual proportions with more realistic character rendering. Especially when SHE looks like that and then all the NPCs look like normal humans.

Either way, thank you for the screens - you've kind of made me want to replay it :P

OOOOH. I didn't realize he had THAT many views. Yeah, there was a GAF thread a while back which had his Flickr account linked in the OP. That was probably picked up by a few other sites as well. So those views are most likely from outside visitors that don't have an account.

Thanks fam, I just finished it (first time). Played Legend about a year ago and happy it was basically a direct sequel.

Only thing I was disappointed in probably was how abruptly it ended. But a sign of a fun game is one that you wish didn't end, and that's certainly Underworld for me, really enjoyed it :)

I wish the pop-in wasn't so bad in Black Desert. Looks incredible in screenshots, but not so much in motion...

Hm, I'm probably in the minority but I'm not blown away by The Division at all..looks about as good as Crysis 3 or GTA IV with ICE to me. Maybe it all looks better in motion.
