Nah, its been avaible for a couple of days on amazon.de - but yeah they stopped taking preorders yesterday.
 
Play asia have the sneaky trick of changing a preorder order status into a processing order status so you can't manually cancel it, i have had orders in the past that have been changed to processing weeks before the release date was even due, the only way you can cancel then is to contact customer service as the cancel button mysteriously vanishes when it goes to processing.

Then again i have known people to be refused any cancellation and even worse only be offered store credit on stuff you cancelled but paid up font when you ordered.

Nowdays can't be arsed dealing with them they offer less selection & worse prices compared to Amazon Japan i'd rather just import direct than go through a marked up import store.
 
So Cover Plate 012 is sold out on the Nintendo store.
Are they just out of stock, or are all European covers limited issue?

Also has anybody seen the white Monster Hunt plate for sale online anywhere?

Not sure about how limited the EU plates are but Amazon UK has plate 12 in stock:

Welp, looks like I missed out on the initial pre-order. Guess I'll regularly scout my usual import sites while I have e-mail notification from PA and Amazon JP whenever it's possible to do another pre-order.

I'll also pray and be hopeful that lord Shibata will give Europeans some good news.

Got my Majora's Mask cover plate today so finally changing from the wooden plate, but I think I'll just leave it on until I finish the game and switch to something else...

It's really nice, it's matte like the system and feels nice to hold.
 
are the plates different thicknesses? I'm using the wooden ones right now and my 3DS doesn't sit neatly in the charging dock which is really annoying. Wondering if other plates are thinner and would fit better?

But the plates don't even go into the cradle...? There should be a gap between the edge of the plates and the lip of the cradle so thickness shouldn't be a problem.

the bottom plate goes a little way into the back of the dock, but looking more closely that doesn't seem to be the issue.

I think its either the rubber bumps on the bottom of the 3DS causing friction, or possibly the shoulder buttons where they have to fit into indents. It is annoying regardless. But if I use enough blutak to lock the dock down, it should be ok.
 
Hey since the New 3DS XL have a removable back plate, that means whe may see some plates for it soon no? thatd be cool :/

Yes I'm here since... well a long time but I never really think about it and seeing Chrome correcting me on some words (it's setted in British English) I thought that I may mix some of both UK/US English in my posts and I wasn't sure if it was ok or uncomfortable to read fo UK or US readers. And I may be wrong but it seemed to me that more people were claiming being from UK than before. But it was mostly a remark, it's not a big deal :p

To customise just the back? Not likely. Cover plates are a standard n3DS USP and you just have to accept that.
 
These faceplates are stressing me out more than amiibos right now.

Really hope it's not initial shipment and that's it. That practice really pisses me off.

I also hope the UK gets the Xenoblade and Zelda faceplates.
 
hi fellow N3DS peeps. i just got my Japanese N3DS today and i was wondering what Japanese eshop games would be worth checking out. i don't know any Japanese so that would leave out RPGs unfortunately. thanks in advance for the help!

Is that just a plastic plate? It was between that and pikachu and the white MonHun4 one. I got the MonHun one as that looks sick on the black n3ds.

The Kirby one reminds me of the back of a notebook from school.

That wasnt my favorite tbh. The pikachu one, i love but would feel weird as a 31 yr old man, lol. So I got the white monhun one, that one looks great. When I get home from work I'll post up pics.
 
Why would you feel weird at 31? seriously who cares what other people think i'm 38 and couldn't give a damn about what people think when i go out rocking a funky faceplate.

If you like the pikachu one then go for it, lifes too short to worry about what other people think.

Indeed. I seen grown adults with the Pikachu XL.
You can always switch the plates around outside as well.
I love the plates because you can change them out when you get bored much like themes.

Eh sure I agree I guess. Just try and always be professional haha. Guess it's how I was raised. But yea the pikachu one is awesome looking and I love the MonHun one.
Was gonna preorder the zelda one at nin nin but shipped wouldve been like 85 USD, I don't need it that bad.

Yeah, Nin-Nin and Nippon are price hiking. I am hoping it is because they do not have known stock yet and not scalping. Then again, they been known to scalp Amiibo prices, so I think they are scalping.
I am tracking the Zelda plates. They should release in March in most of EU and April in the few that aren't.
 
Both Zelda face plates are releasing in Scandinavia in early March too. I should be able to get the Triforce then :)

Mine are on the way! Got the white MH4U plates on at the moment and they are fantastic.

Also have plates for JP Smash, Boo, White Embossed, and my plain white ones that I got my sister to doodle on with Sharpie.

I hope they release a White version of the Triforce design! =D
 
I wanted to get the xenoblade plate but it sold out in a flash. Nippon yasan hasn't got it in their catalog yet, do you think it is likely they will stock it at some point?

Generally do they come back into stock when they actually get released?
 
I am looking for the New 3DS XL/LL template so I can just design and print my own cover. Has anyone found one yet?

Judging from the MM. MM plate has already been released and amiami's still sold out.

When I was asking nippon yasan about the triforce plate, they showed me the MM one and they said that they will be getting more upon release, they did get out at an inflated price, almost 4x (2200yen before, now it's 8000yen).

By looking at the MM and the triforce plate, the other shop might get stock at some point but I wouldn't be surprise if they are selling it at 8,000-9,000 yen.

As for me I'm waiting, hoping that EU will get one.

I want it but I'm not spending import prices on any other than the ones I really need.
Imported the suede one and have the Xenoblade one preordered and that's it for now.
I'll grab that Kirby one if it releases over here for sure though.
