Eshop is back up for me here on the west coast.
On the Japanese 3DS e-Shop there are a few demos already for:
- Monster Hunter Tri G
- Puyopuyo 20th Anniversary
- Cooking Mama 4
- Shin-chan whatever...
- Oshare Audition 2 (crap stuff)
- Hana to Ikimono rittaizuukan
- Dead or Alive Dimensions
I'm downloading the MH3G demo now. It requires 1356 blocks...
does the e-shop still look the same on your jpn 3ds?

Yeah, still the same look. I think all the changes are internal.does the e-shop still look the same on your jpn 3ds?
And Cooking Mama is pure brilliance..?
And Cooking Mama is pure brilliance..?
I updated the system but I have no Nintendo Zone icon on the main menu (I'm in Italy). Strange :/
Everything else (new puzzles, Mii adventures, Video, QR codes) is ok/great![]()
I didn't get it either. It seems it's only in the US so far. And maybe Japan, i dunno.
So.... no redesigned eShop? uhuhm?
I gave me ten achievements. :0
The changes have been made its exactly what they said it would be. No demos yet but you can store cc info if you want and do spotpass software downloads. The eshop manual has all the new info.
Accomplishments.For Mii Plaza only.

Oh wow.. either Nintendo being Nintendo, or Capcom being Crapcom. Either way...
The Monster Hunter 3G Demo has a 30 PLAYS LIMIT. That is, you can only play it 30 times (though if the controls are as bad as I'm expecting to be, I will only play it once...)
This was announced a while back. It applies to all demos.
That's a nice selection, but it's weird there's no 1st party stuff at all.

Seriously though, whop plays a demo more than 30 times?lol worse than i expected. wonder if the other demos are like that.

Woah really? That's.. that's kind of stupid. If it applies to all demos, then I guess it's some Nintendo BS, and not Capcom?
Looking over the eShop manual, you can queue up to 10 things to be downloaded via SpotPass at a time, and it will begin downloading the next time you put your system into sleep mode with no software running. Partial downloads will have a blinking present icon. Unfortunately, it specifically says that the SpotPass light will not turn blue when your downloads are finished, so you'll just have to check back later to see if it's done yet.
The play limit seems fine to me. If you play a demo 30 times you probably like the game enough to buy it.
maybe they don't have the money to buy it yet.
there would be no point of a limit if there weren't people who re-play demos a bunch.
Huh. That's a weird omission. Seems like it wouldn't be that hard to program. I guess it has something to do with the way downloads work fundamentally that has to be changed, but still.
It makes sense. "You've played this demo 30 times now. Surely that means you must like it enough to buy it?"
I don't think I've ever played a demo that many times. Try before you buy, but don't abuse.
Really awesome update! Lots of stuff to do especially with Find Mii II which requires new strategy to beat. Feels weird having accomplishments though...
anyway, how do we get the pink panels in Puzzleswap?
but that's not abusing. demos give a time limit in game or a small section, but they shouldn't limit you. you should be free to play them as much as you want.
and i say this as someone who doesn't even bother with demos anymore.
If you like something enough to play it 30 times, pay the developer. It's not like this is unprecedented.
