Besides, calculators are a thing.
nothing wrong with brushing up on basic mathmatics, it can be quite easy to forget the basics, why i occasionally go back and look at sums like this.

This isn't "basic math" so much as remembering and applying a standard of how we write equations. Hope this helps.

Some could have merely forgotten to use order of operations. That's something I often did in the past despite knowing the concepts themselves. Many people just start doing it in the order of the problem.

Yeah, I did that as well (German efficiency, etc etc..), but I'm just tired rather than being hungover.
Gaf would be awesome if solving calculations like this was a requirement for registering (sort of like a captcha, but with a time limit or something)

calc.exe gives me 20 also.
Not in standard view. Which is ridiculous because it displays the full equation until you hit the equals sign and still gives 320.
