50 Cent: Bulletproof - IGN review

Wario64

works for Gamestop (lol)

9.0 Presentation
A ton of unlockable tracks and videos goes a long way, and the overall style is perfectly matched to the setting.
8.0 Graphics
Quite solid through and through. Clean lines, clean textures and just great overall art direction.
8.5 Sound
If you're a 50 Cent fan, you'll love the soundtrack. Otherwise, this isn't the game for you anyway. Weapon sounds could be a little more unique, however.
5.0 Gameplay
Decent AI that actually hurts the game is an odd thing, but with Bulletproof's wonky controls, it's true. The game is a case of "been there, done that", only not as well.
8.0 Lasting Appeal
The massive amount of unlockable content means you'll be coming back for more to nab everything. The arcade mode is decent but repetitive.
6.5
Passable OVERALL
(out of 10 / not an average)

50 Cent: Bulletproof's success will ride on the coattails of 50 Cent's popularity, but in this case, that works out perfectly. Fans of 50 Cent and his music will find it much easier to overlook the game's shortcomings and focus on its strong presentation aspects, which really are excellent for the most part. Those who aren't fans of his music and who are just looking for a solid third-person shooter will want to look elsewhere however, as the core gameplay here is nothing that hasn't been seen before and done better a million times.

i want to remind everyone that it has been said that anyone that buys this game will be banned from GAF indefinetly. :D

If they worked on the gameplay/controls, this game could've been at least an 8.0!!

But, maybe we shouldn't try to fathom the aftermath of that hypothetical situation.

Yeah, I'm dodging this stinker. Putting my good, hard-earned cash towards that Shadow the Hedgehog game instead. That looks pretty cool.

Oh god, THANK YOU.

Must be my lucky day, first Shadow's scores suck ass and same goes with Fitty Cent. :)

I only played this thing for about an hour (which is about how long it takes you to get to the main stuff in game) and the review is about spot on. It is a halfway decent third-person shooter that relies on its license and presentation to save the day. If you seriously have to own it, don't pay full price for it. Wait for the bargain bin, but even then it's only half decent. I expected scores in the 6's or 7's.

they nailed the only real complaint I have with the game.

Oh, that's just not fair.

wow great graphics and presentation.. they say..

IGN keeps losing street cred everyday

The game ruiner, which I brought up in the other 50 cent thread, which is buried in the IGN review:

Further hurting the gun battles is the fact that enemies will tend to respawn again and again, in questionable spots sometimes, and the only way to pass some areas is to get to the exit. Killing everyone is simply not an option, and trying to do so as you progress through a level leads to more frustration since enemies can spawn behind you and shoot you from behind, even after you've cleared out the area you've just passed through.

This pretty much makes the game unplayable in my opinion.
