This happened in 2000 and no one gave a damn.

While that's bad - its nowhere near the disaster that people are making it out to be. These aren't CAST ballots. THAT would be a huge problem.
I'd still say it's a pretty big problem. If many of these people were actually going to be out of the area, they might not have time to get a replacement.

Jeb Bush won't get away with that too easily. AFAIK, it's still being fought aggressively. At least, the local NPR station keeps saying so. It sucks, but that's the way it goes I guess. Aren't there foreign diplomats sent here to watch this year's election? There should be at least. PEACE.

uh what do you mean he got away with it last year. There are only 7 days left till the election if it were to be overturned say tomorrow they still need to put the names back on the rolls. I'm sure Jeb and friends will take their sweet time and either claim they didn't have enough time to reverse the sweep, or only reverse a small amount.

No no no. These are absentee ballots, allowing people to vote when they can't make it to a polling place to vote through the mail.

I was refering to this part:

On election day itself, those who requested absentee ballots will only be able to vote in person if they bring the blank absentee forms with them.
“A lot of people are very concerned because they think that just because they requested an absentee ballot, now they’re stuck in a limbo situation where they don’t have their ballot and they can’t vote,” Salas said.
“So most definitely we want to get the message out that yes they can go to an early voting site and cast their ballot and that’s what we would encourage them to do,” she said.

If they never receive their ballot, the only way they can vote is by going in early?

Yep. That's the big issue. These people will be unable to vote on Election Day unless they get their absentee ballot one way or the other. So here's hoping someone informed them that they need to vote before Nov. 2 if they want it to count.
