im 99% sure artic has said they don't actually like k-on and just posts news and stuff relating to it

If you must refer to me by nickname, please use "Arty". Trying to use "Artic" just runs the risk of it turning into "Arctic", and I'm not that frigid of a person.
And it's not that I hate K-On, I just don't share the same fanatic zeal for it that the lot of you do, in terms of stockpiled images/gifs, or merchandise, or, yes, having ever even watched the show or read the manga outside of snippets; in fact I'm rather indifferent to K-On in general, with what I like the most about it being the Yoko Hikasa-performed songs.
Besides, K-On's at the stage now where it's pretty much a "retired" franchise, so there's not likely to be any news in the future for it anyway; hell, this thread serves more as just a hangout for a dozen or so people than for any real discussion of the series. "Aki Toyosaki doing ___" is a pretty tenuous connection as-is to bother mentioning in here, so if you'd rather I certainly don't mind leaving you to your own devices.

If the Nagato spinoff from Haruhi can get an anime, K-ON Season 3 is gonna happen! I still believe ;_;
The difference there is that Yuki-chan is a manga in actual serialization, with new content still being released.
Besides which, no chance in hell KyoAni would want to come back to it anyway, so why even bother?

KyoAni had been trying to create their own franchise for a while. I assume k-on license must be super expensive now.
May be if all their original franchise failed then we will have a chance.

There is a free membership, but shows come out a week later for free members. The premium membership has a 14-day free trial, and then it's something like $7 a month after that.
Members do get 48-hour free trials to give out to friends, so you can always ask around for one of those.

Also free members have ads, no full screen, and can only watch in standard definition.
First episode has me excited. I used to play trombone before my family started moving constantly so this is a bit nostalgic. Not sure how I feel about the cast. Main character I do like. I'll refrain from discussing it more as this is K-On GAF after all but I'm definitely going to stick with this anime unless it goes south quickly.

I started watching Bakuman today as my step brother got me to watch it.
I was apprehensive, but it seems pretty good so far. Gonna start finally watching Illya zwei tonight and then all the new season tomorrow! Still got Dog Days and iDOLM@STER Cinderella Girls from last season to go though.
