Is that an HP? One of the biggest complaints about that brand is they tend to overheat too often and have a short life span.
In regards to Mio's reason about decorating her room with cute things I think it's more for the latter one (Ritsu's teasing her). She had no problem wriring cute lyrics for the group songs.

Then maybe the overheating problem is because the cooling system is filled with dust and fluff. But from what I know it's a pain in the ass to clean that since you've to almost disassemble the whole laptop.

Speaking of those HP laptops, I was not thinking back in the summer of 08 and purchased an HP. Thing was a piece of shit. Yes it totally did overheat in a few years. I remember a friend of mine who used to work at Staples as their main computer guy during high school was surprised my machine even lasted that long haha. It was a waste of money and I should have bought something several hundred dollars cheaper since it would have made no difference (the HP was not capable of gaming). In the end I instead picked up a gaming laptop (without the tacky design) which is getting a little old now but has served me very well.
Moral of the story is HP laptops suck if you try anything other than working with Office or internet browsing.

I agree. I don't particularly recommend going that route. I just decided since I'm often moving it would be useful to go that route. I probably put like $300 more into it than that crappy HP. The laptop had small sale at the time. I can still play current games on it at medium settings and it's a laptop from 2012. And that's me going for 60fps. If I was just getting a laptop for non gaming I'd just buy something for $400 and make sure it's dependable.
On the other hand it's pretty amazing how cheaper computer stuff has gotten. I built my first rig in 03 and it cost about 3 times what my current laptop cost.

There were crazy times in the 90's when they showed animu with controversial scenes too (I mean Ranma 1/2 and such)
