Radio silence since this morning, ha? I guess that's one way to stop lying.
Maybe we're fifth dimensional people who can't be on the same plane of existence like in Interstellar.wait so do we know what we look like?
Pokemon Go, kids laughing at mostly unfunny photoshops or something. What the fuck happened here in the past 3 hours?

People are jumping in hyper-drive to conclusions about the advertising of the game being devious and the team or the man (Sean) was ill intended.
There is a Crackachu on the line
This must be what encountering chtulu is like.
This thread is...nonsense. Just mad scribblings, I can't even tell if this nonsense is from the people complaining or the people defending anymore.

That may be, but that is what is going to happen when you don't clear things up. It would be super simple for them to clear this up with a simple yes or no. They know this and I can't imagine they didn't see this coming. So if the feature really is something they wanted to be a surprise they had to be ready for this and ready to weather it. Time will tell either way. Thing is that if the feature isn't there now in any form then saying it sooner is only a good thing.
Lol dont let me leave Murph!MURPH!!!!!!
MUUUUUUUUURPH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
People keep repeating this. Why? Because no one ever said the game is crap or something (well, except for the glorious "duckshit" guy). Also NMS is actually good

This is about features that were advertised in several interviews - both print and video - but apparently are not in the final game and they didn't feel the need to inform anyone about this. For some people these supposedly minor features are pretty big since for them it diminishes the "other people out there"-feeling that they were hoping for with this game.
This is not me btw. but numerous people in this thread said as much. I simply have a big problem with the communication coming from the devs regarding this issue. I believe they are wilfully spreading obtuse information and flatout misinformation in order to mislead players. Now they are sitting this out through the day one/two sales days without giving a clarifying statement - because that statement could obviously cost them quite a couple of sales and goodwill among the community. I think the radio silence now that they are pressured for a very short answer to a simple question is a pretty shitty course of action.
It only shows that not many ppl really care about a freaking easter egg. This witch hunt after Sean is pure bullying.

So Sean / HG still sleeping 24 hours later? I guess they need their beauty sleep after pushing this game out so quick after countless delays.
The poster I was responding too was using Inafune and Mighty No.9 as a comparison. Development history and quality of the final product aren't really comparable.
I agree that Sean Murray not making an unequivocal statement regarding meeting other players is odd, but there may be restrictions on what he can and can't say at the moment aside from any other reasons. But I also never expected NMS to be multiplayer or have multiplayer elements (not want them) so the level of vitriol leveled at him over this is very strange to me (and yes I've seen the links)
I'm sorry to be a bit blunt here but just because you and a couple of other posters didn't expect MP features doesn't mean everything is fine. Murray made these statements - many times on many occasions. A portion of players obviously wanted these features and are now pissed. Understandably so.The poster I was responding too was using Inafune and Mighty No.9 as a comparison. Development history and quality of the final product aren't really comparable.

Quite the opposite even: he continued the wilful misinformation with tweets like "Two players have already found each other... mind blown". But then they suddenly go radio silent once the "can we see other players?"-question blows up.The thing is that they sort of had 16 hours to resolve our worries when people were tweeting him. But in that time, all he did was make a few statements that didn't directly confirm or deny anything and there has yet to be another update.
WTF is this? Dev teams work their ass off and a delayed response gets them this shit.

The "I don't care about MP features so everyone else shouldn't either"-posts are pretty much the equivalent to the "I have no bugs"-posts.

Unfortunate that it didn't really answer the question and told us basically what some people figured out earlier in the thread before the coming of crackachu

Does anybody really know the answer to the question (other the Sean and the devs?) isn't that what they kind of alluded to. That the tweets sent out have kind of failed to shed any new light on the situation. Have the devs mentioned that two twitch streamers encounter did not go as intended and that once the servers are more stable they should expect to be able to see each other or something along those lines yet?
They deserve every bit of this for lying to consumers to get our money. The fact that they worked their asses off is completely irrelevant when they are sitting on their hands with a proper explanation.WTF is this? Dev teams work their ass off and a delayed response gets them this shit.
He has been coy this feature the whole time, they obviously don't want to talk about what it is. Its possible they're actually trying to solve the problem rather than deal with a small vocal minority, some of which are being jerks and don't deserve a response.
Now I want NMS to have a multiplayer just to encounter the girl in the video.
They said nothing new, tho

Why didn't they put out a short tweet "server issues, players can't see each other right now, working on it!" then? That would've cleared everything up within seconds instead of letting the shitstorm happen, videos getting posted on youtube etc.?He has been coy this feature the whole time, they obviously don't want to talk about what it is. They can say 3 things:
A. Only certain people can see each other
B. You should be able to see each other, we are working on fixing the issue
C. You can't see each other
Problem solved
I know that they still refuse to comment for some reason. It's probably because they didn't lie though... /sYou don't know if they lied. And it is painfully obvious some of you have never been through or even stopped wonder what dev teams do after releasing software.
That's the thing. If they're trying to solve the problem, what's the point of being coy and making things worse? Why not come out and say, there was a problem with people meeting each other. We're looking into fixing it. Simple as that
Immediate responses if I had to guess:
"Fixing what!?"
"How will we know its working"
You can never satisfy the internet.
There's no point in defending this, especially with such a weak defense.Immediate responses if I had to guess:
