Aaron Hernandez Dead by Suicide

No. Patriots haven't paid him a ton of money because his crimes voided the contract. Him not being guilty of any crime has that money back into the spotlight.

Basically, if his family obtains those assets, the victims actually then have something to go after.

Huh? He's still guilty of killing Odin Lloyd.

Wow. You have to wonder about it when a famous person goes to jail for a life sentence. I had just seen his acquittal of the second murder case and was reminded he was still in a life sentence from the first case.

I wonder if he was just waiting for that second case to be finished.

Some of you folks on here need to seriously need to look in the mirror and have some introspection. The level of callousness displayed on this thread is absolutely disgusting and I find it hard to see and read the posts I've seen on here regarding Hernandez's death. The dude wasn't a saint, and doesn't deserve our pity, he was convicted of murder plain and simple.

But the schadenfreude on display at his suicide on this thread is uncalled for and unjustified. Some of you people on here with your posts are repulsive, unpleasant and just nasty individuals and you know who you are. It is so easy to sit behind a screen or type away on your phone the shit some of ya'll be saying.

Or, maybe the disgusting thing is the fact that even the most heinous of criminals (rapists, murderers, baby killers, terrorists, etc...) always seem to have a defense force on GAF. Like seriously, how about you save your sympathy for people that deserve it, starting with the victims of these criminals.

The closest people to him are now saying that he was fine and that he would never take his life.

I know people always say that but this shit is getting weird.

Eh, I don't buy in to that. That's like when people live next store to a murderer or a terrorist and the news interviews them after the fact. "Oh he was such a nice guy I never expected this" etc.

I don't know what's worse on FB right now, the conspiracy nuts (#suicidegate) or all the girls saying "yeah he was a murderer but he was hot though"

I can accept the "but he's hot" angle way before I can accept the "but he was lacking a father figure" fanfiction some people in here are spinning. dude (probably) killed multiple people across multiple incidents over the span of a decade. if anything, he got off easy by punching his own ticket. It's amazing some people can even post with how much their hearts are bleeding.

Yeah exactly. Just so weird that he would do this after the second trial. Like he waited all this time. Probably couldn't live with what he did anymore.

In what way is being raised without a father in a shitty neighborhood, a "fan fiction" ?

Those people are not in jail for life and will never be able to comprehend a sentence like that. They are just in denial

Sorry. All my outrage is directed at callous murderers. Not people indifferent about the inevitable sorry that person chooses to bring upon themselves.

You make it seem like Hernandez was walking whistling enjoying life then slipped then tripped and murdered someone. Whoops.

Foh. I hope he burns.

Hard to feel sorry for him. Hopefully his family isn't too affected.

Never known anyone clinically depressed, have you ? I've been close to suicide several times in the past and I can guarantee that my family had no idea.
You become really good at lying when you don't want anyone to know about you.

I think you misunderstood what I was saying. I was responding to the conspiracy theory that he was perfectly fine and someone else killed him.

I don't know all the details of his story, but I didn't expect him to kill himself. Regardless, I still feel sad about the whole thing.

If we are going to talk about Brady in this thread then let me just say that I'm laughing at everyone who said we were Trump's team and all this bullshit. 28-3

Can't wait for the non-espn doc about his story now that he is finished. It's long overdue for someone to go all in on Meyer, bellichik and the other coddlers of this asshole in the name of football and profit. Glad I'm not a fan of either Florida or the patriots and glad that I grew out of idolizing any athletes beyond an admiration of their physical skills when I matured in my young adulthood. Fuck this asshole and fuck the people over the years that propped him up and turned a blind eye to his criminal tendencies. Good riddance-I'm happy for the surviving victims and the families of his many many victims over the years that they no longer have to worry about him harming anyone else or getting released.

Ah, I thought you were saying that in those cases surely other people must have been aware something was wrong.
My bad if that wasn't the case.

It's not the talent, it's what he could have done. He could have done work to build up his community, given to charity, etc. People like him have the opportunity to change the world for the better if they so choose. I don't feel bad for the dude but it's just a shame that he took this path.

Had he already exhibited that he was changing it would be a totally different story, but he was playing a thug game up until he got convicted. From the stories I remember reading the guy never learned a lesson and was constantly protected (Looking at your Urban Meyer).

This.
It's not like he ran over someone under the influence.
He cold-bloodedly killed at least 1 person.
If not even 4 or more.
Just read that he killed one, because that person knew about a previous murder.

I don't understand the purpose of this post.

AH sums up what's wrong with so many. Success isn't enough. They crave power over either people's existences. Ultimately, his inability to control his own situation caused him to take his own. It's not a tragic tale of woe. It happens daily on smaller and larger levels. This story only stands out because he played America's favorite sport

This picture of him after he found out he was not guilty of the double murder says a lot to me. Even before he killed himself, this picture really stood out to me.

He was found not guilty, but still has a look on his face like "My life is over." It's an incredibly tragic picture. Dude had everything and lost it because he was a dumbass. It feels like in this picture it has all culminated with the look on his face.

Who would have thought killing another human being could be so tragic. Calling a murderer a dumbass seems a bit reductive here. Call him for what he is, don't try and sugarcoat his actions.
