It might make money but it probably doesn't make profit. It makes money. It just needs to make more to justify Bethesda and ABK acquisitions. It should be printing money.

I believe that’s a matter of public record. Since it’s a publicly traded company, they have to report their financials every quarter. It might make money but it probably doesn't make profit.
Part of Xbox? They basically ARE Xbox at this point.I believe that’s a matter of public record. Since it’s a publicly traded company, they have to report their financials every quarter.
Xbox + Microsoft FY23 Q4 Results: Total Gaming +1% ($3.491B), Content & Services +5% (Game Pass growth), Hardware -13%
Thread will be updated Gaming revenue increased $36 million or 1% driven by growth in Xbox content and services, offset in part by a decline in Xbox hardware. Xbox content and services revenue increased 5% driven by growth in third-party content and Xbox Game Pass. Xbox hardware revenue...www.installbaseforum.com
ABK makes $2-3 billion in profit alone every year. And that’s part of Xbox now. And they’ve cut thousands of jobs at ABK and elsewhere within XGS since the deal closed.
Huh?Part of Xbox? They basically ARE Xbox at this point.
MS hides the gaming division numbers well. ABK does make money I'm guessing but they are giving it away now on the gamepass side. Cutting jobs is not a positive thing.I believe that’s a matter of public record. Since it’s a publicly traded company, they have to report their financials every quarter.

What are you talking about Phil was one of the leaders at the time “totally different leadership”stop talking out of ur backsideTotally different leadership in place back in 2008, I doubt every single member of Xbox leadership in the last 15 years have just all been brazenly incompetent. That’s quite the charge.
How? Not a lot of people buying xbox console. It makes money. It just needs to make more to justify Bethesda and ABK acquisitions. It should be printing money.
Doesn’t both statements essentially mean same thing?Part of Xbox? They basically ARE Xbox at this point.
Doesn’t both statements essentially mean same thing?
Pretty self explanatory if you can pick up what he's saying. The other older 'part' of xbox that isn't ABK basically doesn't exist. ABK is driving xbox's revenue and profit now.Huh?
The idea they're slowing down, or even pausing, their plans because of how people reacted to Indiana Jones going multi-platform seems... not like how Microsoft operates. And make no mistake: Microsoft is running Xbox, and they only care about getting paid.

It's exactly how Microsoft operates. Publicly.
We just don't know what they are planning outside of "bringing their content to more platforms" it could mean anything when you get into the weeds. What we know is indy is coming and I think more are 100% coming. What they are and when is another point entirely.
Nah, leave those companies alone!Or sony should just say F it and just buy sega and ubisoft

I'd hazard to guess that 2025 is going to be about getting bigger hitters over to PS5
Forza Horizon, Starfield.
2026 probably Halo CE remake
It'll be interesting to see if they go day and date Fable, Blade, and Gears. Blade is already in trouble due to the movie's delay.
Day and Date is probably still a couple of years away. 2026 at the earliest.
I'm not so certain of that.
I think Indiana Jones is only delayed how long it is delayed because of when they started the PS5 port and wanting to get the game out before Christmas.
Nadella seems pretty serious about this, to the point where he isn't even mentioning Xbox consoles as a priority. The priority is clear: sell more copies of games and build IP.
Don't you think day and date for 2025 games is also too soon?
Depends on the game and the development situation.
Could I tell you what game is likely to release day and date next year? No, but I wouldn't be surprised by it. CoD for example is day and date, largely because it has to be, but it was always planned to be. But the same is true of the Diablo expansion, which is even going to support PS5 Pro.
Would it surprise me if Avowed is delayed again and ends up being a PS5 release day title? No.
Doom will probably launch day and date on PS5.
I think they've already said Doom is day one on PS5 actually.
There we are then.
I think some people still want to make exceptions. Well Doom is Zenimax. Sea of Thieves was Rare. These types of exceptions are going to be pretty non-existent next year.
It's clear Halo Studios is going multiplatform for their next title.
