Skye is the team's moral compass because she's being written as the moral compass, not because she's a compelling enough character to actually justify having her in so central a role (edit: or because it would be impossible to change the character dynamics enough to put another character in that role).

All the characters are the characters they are because that's how they are written. That's a pretty silly complaint to have.

This show is so boring. I can't watch it anymore. But I'm afraid that if I stop watching, the season finale may be awesome and I won't be able to watch back episodes on Hulu due to their limited library of past episodes of certain shows.

Even season 1 of Misfits is more interesting than this.

They said that their list of people with special powers isn't that big. What about all of those mutants that the Marvel Universe's government and media outlets won't stop complaining about?

Daredevil, Iron Fist, Luke Cage, Dr Strange... The Marvel Universe is rife with gen-x free supes ready to use. Then we have the Inhumans, whom are set to replace mutants in the MCU.

There are no mutants in this show nor the MCU for that matter.

The Inhumans are going to be put on hold since they are changing the direction of the book before it comes out. I dont want those new Netflix shows referencing this mess. Simmons, Simmons, Simmons.

Let me rephrase that a bit:

Skye serves as the team's moral compass because the writers insist she is and therefore give her copious moral compass-y beats and dialogue. That does not mean that the character they've created actually works well onscreen in the central role that they've given her (and to be clear, I think the fault here lies more on the writing end than with Bennet's performance).

tl;dr: Skye is just not as interesting or likable as the writers think she is.

So, aren't Ward and May still supposed to be infected by berserker rage from the staff thing? I thought Yanosh said it'd wear off after a few decades, but they seem pretty relaxed.

The decades thing was for their internal feelings of darkness, not the outward rage.

I actually think this is for the best. Even in the comics the X-Men sort of inhabit their own little world.
Agreed.

Also, I do like what Fox has been doing with the films (X3 & Origins excluded). I don't need to see them mixed with the MCU soon.

Fox can't even keep just the X-Men franchise straight. I can't imagine how much of a mess it would be if X-Men canon was welded into the MCU.

Can I just say that I see this gif in Aziz' voice?
And, the show is getting better, recently. I like the idea of Hell actually being Muspulheim

Overall I thought this was a pretty good episode, but the show still has a lot of the same problems it always has. The only thing that confused me was the guy who was teleporting all over the place. I understand why he was, but could he control it? For most of the episode, I thought he was being pulled between worlds with no control of when he came or went. But then at the end he does a little Nightcrawler move to save Love Interest. Guess that just seemed a little inconsistent to me.

But yeah, I still think the show is good enough for me to keep watching. I just wish it were better. However someone in this thread said they enjoyed Under The Dome more than this. And that's just...wrong. There was not a single thing Under The Dome did well.

Hey Chloe,

So I was browsing music videos when I stumbled upon your Chinese music video. So I must ask, what do you prefer more, acting or singing? In addition what are your opinions on the show Arrow?

[–]ChloeBennet
First off... I apologize and I feel like I owe you 3 minutes and 56 seconds of your life back...after watching that terrible video! hah I much prefer acting

[–]sylerwind
What do you think of Skimmons?

If you could change on thing about The Bus, what would it be?

[–]ChloeBennet
I would add a bathroom. Just for starters.

And there's plenty of more great responses. She was pretty much filter free except for the obvious stuff that she couldn't answer about plotlines and the like.

Really fun. I've been warming up to her character these last few episodes, and getting to know the actors through AMAs always helped. I re-watched episode I with a friend the other day who had heard people say that it was so bad that it's unwatchable, and was surprised at how much I enjoyed it. The terrible camera work didn't bother me as much as it did the first time and I appreciated the characters a lot more. He came away saying 'not great but way better than all the hype around it, I'd be down for watching more'.

Way a really good primer for the upcoming episodes.

DAMMIT.

I will not fall in love with Chloe Bennet. I will not fall in love with Chloe Bennet. I will not fall in love with Chloe Bennet...

Did this get any better after the first 3 or so episodes? Honestly, im a huge Marvel fan but I lost motivation to watch. It always felt latent and unexciting for something that's supposed to dig into a world of the supernatural and wonderous such as the marvel universe.
