ABC just aired a promo that had the series' return subtitled "Uprising," and flashed an image of Captain America's shield a la the eyepatch logo in promos for the second episode... hmm.

DECK'ARD

The Amiga Brotherhood
So are they going to walk around a set from The Winter Soldier for 5 minutes and then go off and do something nothing to do with it?

Hype!

If this is as linked to Captain America as that video implies, then that must mean the spoilers posted before are probably true. Good.

Eh, I wouldn't say that. Given the central role SHIELD has in TWS, it was pretty much a given that the series would tie into it more substantially than it did with Thor: TDW.

if Skye displays technopathic powers, on the other hand, those spoilers were probably legit.

Agents of poops returns today with a new episode:
Season 1: episode 14 "T.A.H.I.T.I"

Coulson goes on the attack to save Skye--enlisting the aid of Ward's former S.O. John Garrett (Bill Paxton)--and uncovers shocking truths about his own life and S.H.I.E.L.D.

- CBR: Whedon & Tancharoen Answer Your "Agents of SHIELD" Questions (some spoilers)

Unfortunately, most of the answers consist of "We can't comment."

so really it should say Whedon & Tacncharoen "Answer" your Agents of SHIELD Questions.

or possibly respond to.

But I'm confident that they will provide us with something much more entertaining in the remaining episodes, than they have in the previous ones. Especially, but not limited to the first 9 or 10.

Exactly. Introduce whoever you want, if the writing doesn't improve the show won't improve.

If it can just maintain the quality of the last two episodes, I'll be reasonably satisfied. Though I'd prefer if the writers used TWS as an opportunity to genuinely shake up the premise and cast (*cough*killward*cough*).

Honestly, the lack of any serious attempt at MCU world-building (outside the Academy episode, which not coincidentally was one of the best to date) has been much more disappointing to me than the dearth of canon Marvel characters/elements. It's mostly just been generic evil corporations and generic SHIELD facilities, with a few scraps here and there like HYDRA scientists fleeing to South America or Asgardians secretly living on earth that aren't really fleshed out.
