Well, that blows my theory/hopes out of the water regarding a certain Whedon creation. :(

I've given up hopes of this show properly introducing/making a big deal of any character or organization that could play an important part in the movies. It'll be a miracle if they call that blue thing a Kree before GotG comes out.

I think Gregg said in a recent interview that the identity of the alien corpse wouldn't be addressed until S2, so...

There's a theory that the corpse was left behind on Earth when Peter Quill was abducted, which would make sense. Possibly too much sense.
You mean when aliens raided the Quill residence, Yondu tries to stop them, but ends up taking Peter as his mom is being killed.

Basically, Peter Quill = Eren Jaeger

Ooh I like this.
The scene when Eren's mom was eaten instantly made me think Star-Lord's origin. Don't spoil AoT for me beyond Episode 2, I'm watching the dub on Toonami.

The alien could easily be one of the aliens Yondu killed in an attempt to get both Quills out of harm's way before Meredith insists that Yondu should take Peter.

Assuming there's more than one alien, what would've happened to the other ones?

Hopefully in season 2, they'll be able to straight up use assets from the movies. They only used one or two props from the movies and usually just talked about something instead of showing it.

I'm thinking, if Kevin Feige steps in as a producer for this like he apparently is for Agent Carter, it's possible that they have plans to expand the MCU even further through the show. It would make sense considering the positive reception of recent episodes.

Edit: There, I clarified my post as conjecture a little better

Wait, Feige is stepping in as producer? So no more Loeb?

No, unfortunately, but a link to Marvel.com about Agent Carter lists Feige as a producer for the new show leading some people to think he's stepping in for quality control reasons. I was just pointing out the possibility of more exclusive Marvel stuff being introduced to the show as a possibility.

Nowhere, it's just speculation on my part. I should rephrase that IF Feige is stepping in as producer like he is for Agent Carter it could be because they plan to introduce more Marvel stuff exclusive to the show.

I wish he actually frequented his twitter, because then we could spam him with such requests.

Did everyone else know that Skye aka Chloe Bennet is half-Asian? Her real name is Chloe Wang and check this out:

My jaw dropped. It makes the whole racial self-identification and others' identification of your race issue that currently popped up in the OT into a really interesting issue for me. I originally thought she's white but she clearly identified as Asian and can even speak Mandarin.

The hell? She is a secret agent irl, omg

This reminds me of Robin from How I met Your Mother ... Which is Maria Hill.
I'm done

:lol Yes, and she cringes every time that song appears :D

edit: Her dad's asian while her mom's caucasian. I typically find that children from those couplings tend to look more caucasian than the opposite case -- at least, from what I've seen with my friends.

Wait a second, are we seeing...?

On topic, I hope there's a lot of interplay behind the two shows. Almost like one big season, where the AoS's are working on some big story line, then the first half ends and we travel back to the 50's or 60's and see Peggy, Howard and Dum Dum doing their thing, and it's very stylized. We see the origins of SHIELD, of course, but we also see some "hooks" placed for the second half of AoS S2. Like, the origin of whatever they're dealing with in the present. Then AoS comes back on and it all comes together.

You couldn't tell she was part Asian? I thought everyone could... hell a while back people were speculating that May might be Skye's mom.

Yes, we knew that. That's why we think May is her mom and Ward is her dad. May is actually pregnant with Skye right now because both Skye and Ward are actually from the future, sent by SWORD and HYDRA respectively. Skye thought she came back through time to prevent Ward from killing May before she can be born, but what she didn't know was that Ward would be the one to help conceive her.

The flight plan I just filed with the agency list me, my men, Dr. Pavel here. But only one of you!

Interesting, I thought they would've held that episode back. If you're going to read these pre-reviews, just make sure you spoiler tag discussion. Thanks.

Forbes reviews the season finale: The 'Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.' Season Finale Plants Marvel's Flag on The Small Screen

And while the grand scheme is all well and good, something that can’t be ignored is the fact that this is, by far, the most well put together episode of the series to date. There’s no denying a lot of that has to do with the previously mentioned build-up, but that’s okay because it’s just nice to know the series didn’t crumble under the weight of its own scale. Every story arc is given its due (even the ones audiences may have forgotten about from the beginning of the season), and every character is given a chance to shine in their own right, all well setting up more arcs for season two.

Oh shit, that
good guy post credits ending. Looks like maybe we're getting anothrr Hydra reveal? FITZ?????

I'm thinking something similar, and yeah, it's going to have to be either Fitz or Simmons. Thinking Simmons, for both the "tell me you're not Hydra" and also the whole "test" back in The Hub with Victoria Hand scenes. But maybe, it's something different entirely. Maybe they're Kree or Skrulls. The whole "searching for clues" thing screams out "hidden agenda/agents"

Yeah. I think it's Fitz just because it seems like a Whedon thing to do. Everyone's looking at Simmons, but NO one would suspect the slobbering simp.
