As Garrett was suiting up in the mechanical parts at the end, and then said "cut of the head," did anyone else think they were turning him into Ultron?

No, I thought "oh cool, they're doing this:"

Edit: what Father Brian posted.

Definitely. I don't think they'd use The Mandarin for-TV though, or any other big villain, but it'd be cool.

Could just do the Dr. Klaw thing and show him looming in the background and give him the real limelight in a movie.

Nah.. too early for Ultron to appear.

Garrett's "final form" resembled his mostly-robotic cyborg body in the comic universe:

I was OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG THEY GON' TO DO IT!!!!

And then Coulson enters and vaporize him xD

Its blank

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sasha_Hammer

Sasha Hammer is a fictional character from the Marvel Comics universe. She is the daughter of Justine Hammer and The Mandarin,[1] the granddaughter of Justin Hammer, and an enemy of Iron Man. Temugin is her paternal half-brother.

Sasha Hammer has been augmented by advanced technology, enabling her body to generate powerful energy of an unspecified type. She can project this energy from her hands in the form of whips and swords that she can use in physical combat. Her enhancements also give her ability to fly. The limits of these abilities have not been explicitly given, but she can use them to destroy an automobile and can prove a considerable opponent to Iron Man.

HOLY SHIT that was an amazing finale. Wish we knew more about SKye about that was crazy!

I'm still confused on one part: I thought they showed Garrett getting packed away to SHIELD. Why was he still back at the place in order to get the Cybertek legs? Like, did the serum somehow split him into two? I was so confused.

I wonder how they're going to work him in if he's not the head of SHIELD anymore?

What if he's busy working on...the Defenders?

In Thor 1 this was in Odin's vault:

Though it's unconfirmed if they're one in the same.

I wonder if that's what we just saw.

Evolution, lifeline and rejuvenation? That's got to be it.

I'm disappointed that with all this Raina praise no one brings up dat ass. I mean yeah she's sexy as fuck but that glorious booty is just the icing on the cake.
Also that "You were never on top line" had my dead. Ward you lazy fuck.

Did you not see the "coffin" he was in with the lid off and the dead doctors/scientists/coroners/whatevers next to it?

Finale was amazing, but I hate that it'll take until fall to get more answers to Skye/Coulson/Raina's "evolution". It still feels like it's playing up an Inhumans and/or High Evolutionary plotline. Thankfully, season 2 will be after GotG and should end before AoU. Don't want to go through the same thing this season did during its first half.

I scrolled to the bottom of the page to hit post reply as quickly as possible so I don't see any spoilers.

I had to proctor a final exam so I missed the season finale. If someone knows when abc.com adds the new episode to the site tomorrow could you mind PMing me?

Eh, not really pleased with this finale. I would have loved to have seen Garrett and Ward stick around as external threats, but both have been neutered. Also the dialog was insanely cheesy and platitude-filled (more than the show typically is at any rate) - I was expecting them to shout out "Go Team!" at any minute.

I did like Coulson's promotion to Director and Avenger. He's certainly earned it.

I really liked it, glad to see good comic book TV shows

Don't like how the skye stuff wasn't revealed at all or who the alien was, I mean I get it, but it still sucks

Definitely doesn't seem like she's jessica drew, which sucks :(

I could see a jessica drew being on the jessica jones show as a cameo or something

I'm gonna go with inhumans, ties in with the "what will i become" thing with the mists

Deathlok can actually hit something with his rockets.

I thought Garrett could be an S2 villain (cover his face and change his voice so you don't need Paxton) and then that happened.

A bit strange that the US armed forces let them go, especially after beating up Talbot.

Well they caught some military guys about to buy some pretty shady shit. Probably a 'I'll let you go if you let me go' kind of thing

I said gat dayum. Ripped his fucking rib out and stabbed him with it. Didn't expect that.
Going Genesis on that body.

Very good finale. i had a very loud high pitched "what" with that last scene with Garret.
I literally clapped. Jesus!

If HYDRA is in Avengers 2, so will Fury.

I fucking lost it at this part!

Warning! Spoiler!
That scene turned the show into a super-powered Pulp Fiction. Everything about that final stand-off was excellent.

What a fantastic finale. Everything after Cap has been so great, I really hope the show continues that intensity. It finally feels like it is fulfilling its promise of being effected by the movies and it in turn building up the world for the movies.

Guess Fitz's quarter tracker was a red herring, since Fury tracked his EKG signal on SHIELD frequencies. I guess Fury was just waiting for them to surface?

Interesting to see what they'll do with Skye. She's an 084 yet also has the alien juice. Will they mix?

The quarter tracker was for Coulson and crew. Fitz, with what he had, only could do an SOS signal. When Fury was talking to Simmons about "do you know which way Coulson went" I assume she manage to show/tell him about the Quarter tracker, and thats how he got to the Cybertek location.

Enjoyed it overall. As others have said, pretty comic-booky. Got a good chuckle out of "found it!" Though it was funny how so many people bitched about dealthlock, then garret looked the part and POW, the writers were like fuck you!! lol, loved it. liked teh coulson / furry scene(s). Happy for coulson, be cool to see how the rebuild goes forward. Also enjoyed teh fitz / simmons scene - fucking onions. Curious how fitz is going to turn out.
Found it!

That what I realized when Garret was being god-like. He seemed like what he knew and was capable of might have made him become a third wheel in the endangerment of the world, along with HYDRA and Thanos. Actually, him being a member of HYDRA and having alien juice him might have made him a conduit for the two threats.

maybe im just spoiled by arrow but this show...

coulsen and fury comedy hour...let's see how many bad one liners we can fit in here :p

I get that you don't like the humor... but Arrow has terrible dialogue at times. The difference is that Whedon one-liners are meant to be cheesy/campy lines while Arrow's bad dialogue is just plain bad (serious) dialogue.
