I find it funny they put Quantum of Solace as his credit there, I think he had maybe one line, and was on screen for about a minute, if that?

Probably aiming for the most recognizable title for the primary AoS audience.

Kassianides has appeared in a number of television episodes in the USA and UK, including Casualty, My Life in Film, Plane Spotting, Ultimate Force, Spooks, Recovery, Holby Blue, Suburban Shootout, The Kylie Show, Ashes to Ashes, The Passion, The Fixer, Love Soup, Hustle, Law and Order UK, Nikita and Burn Notice.[1]

Kassianides has also appeared in several international films such as The Edge of Love, Wuthering Heights, Between Two Fires, Quantum of Solace[1] and Smooch.

Could've said Nikita I guess.

So just like AoS.

They enjoyed making the show more than we did watching it.
Only speak for yourself :)

I feel Deadline used the blandest, dullest, vanilla image they could for that story at least the guy looks kinda rugged...

I guess that is one of his official headshots, maybe from his agency.
They always use that kind of shot for actors.

I would also have guessed they used Nikita or Burn Notice, because Deadline, in my experience, use the most recent "known" project, no matter how small the part.

But why do you think Quantum Of Solace would be the most recognizeable tilte for the primary AoS audience?

Because more people watched it?

So after Guardians of the Galaxy SPOILERS FOR THE MOVIE BUT NOT REALLY
that blue being is definitely supposed to be a Kree right? The general audience has already been shown their regenerative abilities straight up with Nebula's gross refixing herself scene.

I wonder how they'll handle it.

Well,
maybe centurian, considering Yondu...

Idk,
seeing as how heavily the Kree were featured it's probably going to be Kree.

What did it look like in the show again?

The thing that I can't help but notice.. is that in the show.. and I could be misremembering here... thebody seemed abnormaly larger than Coulson. Whereas Ronan didn't seem to be proportionally larger compared to Peter.

Oh snap,
Director Coulson is actually Mar Vell? That would be too much insanity for me.

I'm guessing they come in all shapes and sizes.

maybe tomorrow it rains
Do we know who has the rights to the Skrulls? If we're going to get cosmic stuff, I'd love to see a Kree/Skrull war.

So that brings us up to four confirmed 616-originating characters already (MacKenzie, Mockingbird, Whitehall, Hunter), a month and a half before S2 premieres. Possibly five, if Lawless is playing Victoria Hand's ex-girlfriend, who only appeared in a few pages of Dark Avengers and I don't think was given a last name. By comparison, not counting cameos from film actors, there were nine 616 characters introduced in the entirety of S1 (Deathlok, Graviton, Hand, Garrett, Blizzard, Lorelei, Blackout, Koenig, Talbot).

That's at least one respect in which the showrunners seem to have learned from criticism of S1. I never understood why the leads had to all be original characters, given that there are plenty of minor SHIELD agents like this from the comics whose names could have been used without anyone giving a damn about whether their backstory was kept intact.

I fell off of the show right before FZZT, it wasn't totally awful but it didn't keep me coming back for more despite my love of all things marvel. Just marathoned the rest the last two days and wow, what an improvement! these S2 announcements are exciting too. I'm pretty pumped finally.

I'll just ask this: Is the spoiler who he's playing important as in it will probably be a mystery that won't be revealed when he first shows up?

The SPOILER is that
he is someone you've already kinda seen before
.

extra hint:
like them announcing that Josh Brolin was playing Thanos

Technically speaking we already kinda saw him right at the end of the season, I don't know if that counts. An actor portrayed him in a temporary fashion and now someone else is doing the full role.

Would be okay with the other interpretation as it would probably put that Spider-Woman rumor to rest.

I thought you meant they said
he was a character we've seen before in a more broad sense. As in, some character shown or hinted at in any of the MCU media we've seen so far.

Nope. I was vaguely explaining what you worded out.

he is playing someone we've kinda seen before (mysterious man Raina was talking to when she said "I found your daughter"). and teh extra hint was that the spoiler was just like when it was announced that Josh Brolin was playing Thanos, who we had previously seen in The Avengers.

Oh alright, read into that wrongly then. Any guesses? Purely based on looks I could see
Count Nefaria or Baron Mordo if they want to set up Dr. Strange, but those don't really mesh with the Inhuman hints last season.
