But...will it be in that order After 25 years of marriage, my wife would just tell me to skip her ten minutes and enjoy my new gamesAlright, got it preloading on PS5, another monster file at just under 81gb. This weekend will be Alan Wake 2, Spider-Man 2, Killers of the Flower Moon and fucking my wife, good times
What happened in 2005? LolXbox lives rent free since 2005.
A market disrupter that the very game this thread is about became an exclusive for. What happened in 2005? Lol
You leave Returnal out of this!!
Glad to see it's overdelivered, I expected like a 78 lol. It's just kind of strange though that they made this banger and are releasing it in this obtuse way. Digital only, no Steam = wait for a heavy sale on console
Metroid is the same game as before, RE4R isn't.Metroid Prime is at 94, but these two are remakes/remaster, no way they ll be nominated to GOTY ( imo ) with this many new games that we got this year.
Hey, wow, I was right! There again, low bar to clear ..."Higher than Starfield"
Might have to make a purchase on the EGS.
Sure, every genre has its fans, but there is no one-size-fits-all to any game/genre. Never makes sense to me to see that said, or "it's not a perfect game, but".Some are more than others. Remedy usually goes a bit niche.
I mean no there’s no one size fits all. But there is mass appeal vs niche appeal. In every medium. Certain stories and types of games appeal to the broader audiences. For instance - if you have an easy to follow, simple, traditionally structured story with comedy and action - like, let’s say, the avengers movie - that’s going to appeal to A LOT more people than something like David Lynch’s Eraserhead. Does that make Eraserhead a lesser movie than The Avengers? No. But it’s not going to be as highly rated or make as much money - because it’s not “for everyone” to the degree the Avengers is.Sure, every genre has its fans, but there is no one-size-fits-all to any game/genre. Well, yeah, I know... This wasn't meant as a literal argument, but point blank, no game is for everyone.I mean no there’s no one size fits all. But there is mass appeal vs niche appeal. Add a circle for the 1 player me: no physical releaseim looking forward to it but had to laugh at it. pc players again get the worst
This is semantics. I wasn’t the one making it literal here. You saying “no game is for everyone” is a no shit statement - obviously no game is literally “for everyone”. But that statement is commonly understood to mean there are some things that are more “for everyone” than others - IE: some games are safer than others. And it’s a scale. Remedy tends to tip more niche ever since Max Payne. Alan Wake especially.Well, yeah, I know... This wasn't meant as a literal argument, but point blank, no game is for everyone. If one says, it's no Mario/CoD, but it's still a great game to pick up and try, then that is different.
Cool, so what are you continuing to argue then? I gave my piece, you gave yours. We can move on.This is semantics. I wasn’t the one making it literal here. The point is these wouldn't be the same games under different leadership. That's the point.
Scores won't be as good for same game.
Who expects good story out of MK games? Also Marvel stories always trash both the movies and in video games.Thank God the story is great.
After the stories of Mortal Kombat 1, Assassin’s Creed Mirage and Spider-Man 2, I need a story which is actually well written.

I want to know too lmao.
I always thought people gave super high praise to the stories in 9 and 11
Like a its so bad/corny its good sort of thing
You mean cringe, right?
Because I live in Brazil and today I watched a brazillian marketing video from MK1 on cable TV and was cringe as fuck.
Isn't SM2 more summer blockbuster fair and AW2 highbrow affair? The reviews largely praised Spider-Man 2’s story as well. So you’ll have to see if you agree with them about Alan Wake II, whereas you didn’t about SM2.

A bit more intellectual is what I meant, I know the genre.Highbrow? No.....it's a thriller action adventure game.

Alan Wake 1 was exclusive, but the main focus is that Xbox 360 was released to a major success and Sony had major missteps with PS3 early on.What happened in 2005? Lol
Remedy are quite clever with their writing so I'm expecting some big twists, can't wait now.Ah....ok. I wouldn't consider either game "highbrow" but I get what you mean now.
Looking on for a 85+ mc which is great.Holy shit Gamespot 10/10?
I loved Alan Wake 1 back in the day on 360.. i gotta play this!
