trailer didn't do much for me, so hopefully this'll be an inverse situation of prometheus (hype trailer/meh film).

The way the trailer played it out did make it look like an Alien slasher film.

Looks fantastic but i could of done without seeing the alien at the end i would of rather of had it cut as it was moving up or not had that shower scene at all. Frankly i wish they would of just kept all aliens out off all promo/trailer stuff but the face hugger.
Not too worried about death spoilers since it's an Alien movie and everyone is going to die but Katherine Waterston and maybe Fassbender.

They got the look right (of course, it's Ridley) but it just seems pretty unoriginal so far...either a retread of the original scenes or some Hollywood-y explosion/slasher stuff. Not even as intriguing as the Prometheus trailer.

This looks like a total Prometheus sequel, and as someone who actually loved Prometheus despite its flaws, I'm pumped!
I much prefer that style over Aliens' 'just fuckin shoot it' fuckery.
Bringing the horror back is all I've wanted.
