But hey, complaining months before the actual book came out is easy.
Nothing will relaunch, this will be the start for a couple of new books like they did in the last cycle.
I personally thought Standoff was terrible. It's a decent sidestory, but it doesn't have enough meat or consequences to really be sold as a Marvel event.
Off the top of my head, we got
Thunderbolts, Quasar, and rejuvenated Steve
It's the best Marvel event in years.
That was a Waid book; it was never going to last anyway.
It's a Bendis event book retreading an event that wasn't good in the first place, and the FCBD issue was trash; it probably won't be a complete dumpster fire like Age of Ultron or Guardians of the Galaxy, but there's no chance it turns out actually good.

Now that we're reaching the end of ANAD Marvel I'm curious to see what Marvel tries to push next like they did with Iron Man, Dr. Strange, and Black Panther.

Crossing my fingers for a good Cosmic book again, but bracing for more ebic dance space meme man.
It really depends on who they put on the book.
Why is the art so bad for it then? Every other avengers book has better interiors.
Please be good and not copy Pratt Lord. I think they'll push those 3 still with Spidey.

In general, I really like the angle of "HYDRA emerging from the current refugee crisis and general racial enmity" in Captain America, and how it doesn't really talk down with the "bad guys." It'd be really easy to draw the anti-immigrant crowd in green jumpsuits, tossing out Nazi salutes, and cheer on Cap when he punches their lights out. But there's this really strong "people are people" undercurrent to it all, which I respect Spencer a lot for.
In general it feels like - yeah, this is the sort of subject matter of a Captain America book SHOULD be about. Topical, but in an appropriate way.

Nothing like a issue #1 to boost sales. That Squirrel Girl cover is right. It is not that reboots are the new hot thing, but renumbering.
It is sad that the best Avengers book (Ultimates) is the last on the list. Cannot stand Old Cap X-men, and New Avengers got bad really fast. ANAD Avengers is great though.
They say the best books are the ones with the least sales.

Speaking of Doom, his absence in The Last Days of Magic is weird. We even got the tibetean Doom!

I agree, I think the book itself is fine. They just need to cram in "Avengers" in there. Branding!
That didn't really work for Mighty Avengers. I think it has more to do with the lineup and story.
Ultimates should be #1
Uncanny is doing better than it? Jesus DP has some pull.
NA is actually pretty good for what it is, Saturday Morning Avengers.
