It was missing because I thought World of Final Fantasy was an example of a game that had been broken by improper mode switching on Pro, but it seems I was wrong. The bad look it has is part of a Pro patch. While there's an announced fix in January, I've added it as broken until that actually drops. Why isn't it listed?
If you have WoFF, do you have a way to capture 4K screenshots? It seems only the 1080p mode is broken, so I'd like to add the details for the high-res version. Thanks!
Looking at your shots, I believe it's actually native 1440p. The distance of the upscale to 2160p is why the edges are so blurred (they'd likely be sharper and easier to count if it was actually 1800p).Mafia III
- I'm guessing 1800p (native upscaled, definitely not using checkerboard), but very unsure about this so please check the screenshots.
Thank you very much for your posts! If anyone else wants to contribute, Tagg9's method is best: notes on what you see, plus screenshots. Input on VR games would be especially helpful.
This is a method of v-sync called double buffering. Like all v-sync, it stops tearing of the screen when framerate isn't solid. But double buffering has a drawback, which is that if framerate doesn't stay at 60fps, it drops all the way to 30fps--even if the game would normally have been at, say, 55fps. This makes the average framerate worse.Call of Duty: Black Ops III: 2160c | 60fps db vsync
