I finally picked up a copy of Shinobi for the PS2, and I'm enjoying the game so far. However, I'm having a little trouble with the control scheme. I often tap the X button accidentally to jump, so I'm constantly dashing into enemies and missing jumps. This was especially frustrating in the second boss fight, where I found myself dashing off the building :lol.
The game allows button configuration to hopefully aid this problem. I'd like X to be the jump button, O for the flying stars, [] to stay the same and act as the main attack. However, now I have to figure out where to put the dash. /\ seems to far away from the thumb for such a crucial button. I'm tempted to put the dash button on L1 , but I'm afraid if I do that then I'll try hitting one of the right shoulder to dash to the right.
I'm not quite sure what to do now. Are there any Shinobi fans with their own custom control schemes and recommendations?
