I don't see physical copy in Amazon. Is it selected retailers? Was planning on getting it. But ended up pre-ordering a physical copy today, Friday is going to be insane with Shinobi and Lost Souls Aside being delivered. Can't wait

Not sure, I don't live in the US though, bought my copy from a local online retailer. Pre-Ordered the PS5 version, Switch version seems to be just a "code in a box"I don't see physical copy in Amazon. Is it selected retailers?
Yeah, for sure. The art and enemies are great, but it's the level design and challenge sections that hooked me. As long as the demo isn't more than like 10-20% of the full game (which is a safe bet), I'd definitely get it.Would you still have bought the game if the demo was 1/3rd of the final product and the rest of the game just reused assets from the demo? IE, no new art or enemies?
Would you still have bought the game if the demo represented 2/3rds of the final product and the rest of the game only had one enemy repeating on a blank background?Yeah, for sure. I actually skipped all of the cutscenes and stuff. For a game like this, it's all about two things for me: core mechanics (which are outstanding) and level design (which makes an excellent first impression). The demo definitely told me everything I needed to know.
If you're from the US you can pre-order your physical copy from LRG - https://limitedrungames.com/product...dition-switch-ps5-xbox?variant=44436444348469I don't see physical copy in Amazon. Is it selected retailers?
You're giving me a scenario that doesn't apply. Included at the end of the demo is a sizzle reel with a ton of clips of other areas of the game, challenges, new assets, etc.Would you still have bought the game if the demo represented 2/3rds of the final product and the rest of the game only had one enemy repeating on a blank background?
I'm just trying to get you to imagine the perspective of someone who values what the content outside of the demo is.
Or why reviewers playing the full game is important and why people would go bananas if an outlet reviewed a game based on the demo alone.
The soundtrack in the demo is great. It's been a while since a gaming track was stuck in my head and that stage select theme is an earworm.Let's be honest, even Yuzo on a bad day is still stellar.
And again, no switch 2 native version (the S1 one looks shite due to the low res).
At this point, I seriously don't know what the fook Nintendo is doing, yet another game that I have to buy on my PS5...

If you want your Jet Set Radio fix, you can try Bomb Rush Cyberfunk. It's a worthy successor to JSR. Not as good but still great and a lot of funNow I am looking forward to that new Golden Axe game and the new Jet Set Radio.
Nintendo reads NeoGAF, and when they saw Gigabowsers retardedness and retarded posts, they were afraid of people like him representing Switch 2. So now they are gatekeeping dev kits in fear that people like Gigabowser being associated as your average Switch 2 ownerYeah, Nintendo's decision to gatekeep Switch 2 development kits is easily the most inexplicable and bone-headed thing they've done in years.
There have been several games (including this one) that I would have bought day one if they had a Switch 2 version that are now just going to sit on my wishlist, waiting for a deep discount.
That's rather depressing that for US gamers their only option is LRG, here in PAL land most retailers will have a physical copy. I ordered my already for PS5.If you're from the US you can pre-order your physical copy from LRG - https://limitedrungames.com/product...dition-switch-ps5-xbox?variant=44436444348469

I bought the digital deluxe on PS5, too. The 10% discount and early access tipped me over. Been playing via PS Portal this afternoon and I've been enjoying it.I wanted to play the demo and in the end didn't. I bought the digital deluxe as a leap of faith on PS5 and I loved what I have played. No regrets.
Would be cool to have Joe as a playable character in SoR4. Yeah it's old but would be cool cross promo.
Oh?! I remember his face was on the wall in one of the levels.So.....there is a story behind this. Joe Musashi WAS actually playable in Streets of Rage 4 during development. However...Sega of Japan was like "NO" and wasn't added to the final build. Which was a fucking shame.
Would have been nice to have him in the game honestly. A damn shame really. Sega of Japan was not too keen at first to give the Streets of Rage reins to Lizardcube/Guard Crush/Dotemu. Basically, Sega of Japan felt that THEY could make the game much better than outsiders. Ironic, since they hadn't touched the game since 1994 albeit the re-releases on the 3DS/Xbox 360 came out that was developed by M2. They would rather the franchise remain dormant than to have filthy gaijin touch their precious IP. Notice how in the game, the retro music from SOR2 (Genesis/Mega Drive) and SOR 1 & 2 (Game Gear versions) are present. Sega literally just gave the devs permission to use music from THOSE titles alone, which was a shitty hand to deal with.Oh?! I remember his face was on the wall in one of the levels.
It does, just not in the US of A. Just because something isn't in America doesn't mean it == the whole worldReally sad that this doesn't have a standard retail, physical release.
Yeah, I immediately played Bombrush Cyberfunk. It's pretty neat! I think a big part of why it worked so well was that Hideki Naganuma himself made the soundtrack (with others). If you want your Jet Set Radio fix, you can try Bomb Rush Cyberfunk. Why would they need to raise the price to get more dev kits out there? The dev kit situation is just a big F up from Nintendo if you ask me. They're doing everything possible to piss off their cutomers so far with this console it's wild.Switch 2 is like the safest console Nintendo has released. I know Wii U gives them nightmares, but they should just increase the base price of switch 2 to 600 dollars plus and it would still sell. And open up supply to produce more of them as well as dev kits.
Definitely!!! I'm glad you also played it and enjoyed it. A lot of people I've spoken to about it doesn't even know it exists. And I thought it was fantastic (soundtrack is really really good also). Plus the game runs fantastic (on PS5 at least). Glad to see a fellow gamer that also enjoyed Bomb Rush Cyberfunk.Yeah, I immediately played Bombrush Cyberfunk. It's pretty neat! Okay - standard American retail release. It does, just not in the US of A. Just because something isn't in America doesn't mean it == the whole world
You can always just import one from Amazon.co.uk or Amazon Japan or................you can support the scumbags at LRG when they eventually make copies.Okay - standard American retail release.
I do sometimes purchase foreign physical when it's available - I prefer it all be from my home market but it's just not realistic anymore, which is really what I'm whining about. You can always just import one from Amazon.co.uk or Amazon Japan or................you can support the scumbags at LRG when they eventually make copies.
Luckily all the online retailers have copies available for order where I live
dude do even like video games?????A demo isn't enough of an experience to fully assess a product.
I'm sure you've all watched a trailer to a movie and said "Eh, looks decent. I might see it."
Same concept applies here.
Please don't take it as an insult, as I am generalising a little bit, but it's not directed at you personally.I do sometimes purchase foreign physical when it's available - I prefer it all be from my home market but it's just not realistic anymore, which is really what I'm whining about.![]()
Yes. That's the sole reason why we're switching to digital media (sarcasm). Please don't take it as an insult, as I am generalising a little bit, but it's not directed at you personally.
If Americans weren't so fucking fat and lazy to even get up to change a disc or open a game case. Physical media wouldn't be in the state it is in the US. I know a lot of digital only bros like to fart their superiority here on gaf. When in fact 99% are probably Americans that have no idea that physical media is actually doing well in Europe and very well in Asia.
On the digital deluxe soundtrack he's listed as doing A Tale of Vengeance, Deep Voids, and Broken HourglassNeo City was so awesome. Does anyone know which music Yuzo helped with? Tee Lopes said he was involved in some way.

I have 760 Steam games and maybe 130 GOG games>please don't take it as an insult

Look, inconvenience is a factor, but so is the steep decline in brick-and-mortar retail in the U.S., not to mention the growth of digital storeforonts and their ever-expanding libraries of bargain-priced digital games. This potent combination, convenience and savings, has been gradually changing consumer behavior for almost two decades. What does physical media offer the normie non-collector to counter this value proposition? A flimsy case and inevitable disc rot. Is it any wonder sales of digital games are growing by leaps and bounds?
I have CDs from the early 90s, boxed PC games from the early 90s. My PS1 games etc. and not a single one of them has any disc rot and all work perfectly fine>please don't take it as an insult

Conversely, I have a couple smallish shelves full of hundreds of games that collectively are worth over $20k. If I had them digitally instead, they'd be worth 0. I wouldn't necessarily sell the lot but it's nice to have some extra equity in case of an emergency and/or to pass onto my kids.I have 760 Steam games and maybe 130 GOG games
That is just PC, does not count my consoles.
I have 0 desire to have shelves and shelves full of those PC games. 0.
