alternate reality dude. I hope they're smart enough to not use it as a cop out for everything
I feel like I'm in an alternate reality with Trump winning the Presidency.

Has the one Secretary guy been on Earth 1 this entire season?
If you're referring toKotomichi, the trade minister's assistant, yes, he came from our Earth. The radiation burns from the Hiroshima/Nagasaki bombs were what tipped the minister off.
If you're alternatively referring tothe trade minister himself, yes, he traveled to our Earth. The shot where he meditated and gradually slipped out of the universe (and everything that followed) were pretty clear tells.
I read some reviews and recaps after watching the last episode, and I didn't see this mentioned.
It seems clear that John Smith is going to go from savior of the Reich to its biggest enemy within once he finds out that his son volunteered for extermination because of their monstrous "useless eater" ideology. I think that easily justifies all the time that was spent on that plot line this season.
I don't know if its possible for me to ever root for Smith. The open when we see him in his US Army uniform seeing bomb go off really drove home that he's a traitor piece of shit.
I know we knew he was American from earlier, but that open really drove it home for me. I really can't must up any sympathy there. It's still very interesting.
Great show. I just hate that I blew through it so fast.

I just hope that thedoesn't happen way too fast. I think that the show needs Smith to be hated and loved at the same time.change from harcore nazi to rebel
Frank, Joe and the resistance in general turned out to be pretty bland (and radical at times). Ironic that the supposedly good guys are the worst part of this show. Really found it difficult to root for them.
Who wasI enjoyed this A LOT. Can't believe I was actually sympathizing with Nazis at certain points ().Smith's family issues and his best friend from the war
Amazing writing and can't wait for season 3.
Who washis friend?
Someone uploaded my favourite track from the credits. I've got to say when these themes kick in they are great.

Rufus Sewell is giving an amazing performance as John Smith in this series. I'd say it is his best work to date.
I think our reality is getting closer to this alternative reality. We call our "useless eater" welfare queens and other nasty names.
The soundtrack to season 2 is actually available for free to anyone who has an Amazon Prime account:

Just finished. I want a prequel episodethat shows John Smith becoming a Nazi.
i would think this is coming. Why else show us that scene?

It's still never explained how it is that 'John Smith' came to be a senior officer within the SS after serving in the US military, much less how he came to passionately adopt the Nazi worldview.

Smith turning into a protagonist? I hope not. I hope he remains conflicted, but still a cold hearted SS officer. Joe's development in Nazi Berlin, however, could be interesting. I want to see him turn and eventually kill Juliana.
Yup. That flashback scene with him and his wife says it all.Isn't it obvious? He fell in line, kissed ass, and became the model Nazi for the same reason he does most everything: to protect his family.
