Yep, this is more in line of what I was thinking, minus the extra run after the first bit.
 
Man this is going to be an interesting next three weeks. I have no license/car, so every time I have something to pick up I have to get a ride. Everyone I know is going to be sick of the word amiibo by the time this is all said and done.

Also I now want a Bowser. May have to pick him up along with Luigi as unplanned purchases. It looks so much better than I would have expected. Was looking at my Club Nintendo Platinum Statue a while back, and it's amazing just how... poor the paint job is on it. Amiibo have better quality than it, and it was a rare, exclusive to Club Nintendo item.
 
Man, Imagine how much Code Name: STEAM would sell if it came bundled with a Marth Amiibo.

Also, today I finally found a shop with Shulk Amiibo and I also got an Ike one fore my fire Emblem collection :)

I'm sure GS will find a way to make an Ultimate Bundle for that.
 
Anyone know about USPS shipping policies? Basically I didn't have a scale so the packages I mailed out I said were 6 ounces but were actually 8 to 12 ounces so they sent it back to my house. Can I slap a few stamps on there and call it even or do I have to get a whole new shipping label? I created the original shipping label online and its been over 48 hours so I cannot void it. The USPS opens at 8am Eastern so I'm going to call at 5AM my time but if anyone has experience with my situation, it would be appreciated!

EDIT: Googled it and it seems I have to go to the post office, wait in line, and pay for the additional postage OR I get a whole new label. Going to call still in the AM but I'm probably going to wait in line. Oh well my stupid mistake.
 
This is my collection so far, ordered Sheik and Rosalina today, lucking in South Africa there are no shortages for characters, you can pretty much walk into any game shop and buy whichever Amiibo you want.

Well, I just went a few posts back, and to my horror, the Wii U Gamecube Adapter was selling on Amazon.ca earlier today. And it's now sold out.

I have the worst luck with these things.

Passed by the closest TRU after work earlier today and there were no sign of any wave 3's being sold. One of the employees saw me looking around and said 'they' weren't there so he's in the loop. :P
 
Was hoping some sites would update for wave 4 preorders at 3am tonight but no such luck. Any estimates on when wave 4 will be available for preorder?
 
Morning everyone! Good news for UK amiibo hunters, go check Argos, all of wave 3 (incl the Feb lot) are available for home delivery within 1 day (so delivery tomorrow) :D I grabbed all the ones I need and I may have a couple of spares for trade too, but I'll wait for the delivery to see.

Weird that they seem to be selling the February lot already though... Will wait and see if they actually go ahead and send them tomorrow.

Yeah, I noticed this as well.

Slammed an order down for Rosalina, Shulk, Meta Knight and Dedede. To be honest i'm expecting the orders to be cancelled but you never know...

I just wish Nintendo UK would get the next waves up for preorder. I'm sick of having to check the site every few hours.
 
I've ordered Rosalina from argos as well, something doesn't look right and expecting another cancellation, but they must have some stock of her if they put her product page up yesterday
 
This is ridiculous. Plastic figurines which, up until a few days ago, were to be used only on a struggling dead-last and worst selling Nintendo console in history (Virtual Boy aside) and yet Nintendo has struggled to meet demand for their amiibos since day one? Same thing with the GameCube adapter.

What gives!? This got to be intentional. Otherwise is just plain pathetic.

Yeah, it does look a bit off. I mean you can get her online for £12.99, yet there is another Rosalina that is on the site for £10.99 ( i'm assuming this is the instore product ) but no stock of her anywhere. I'm expecting the worst.

Yeah I tried looking for any in-store stock first but couldn't find anything... But yeah I'm not sure, I imagine they have some stock (wouldn't have even put them on the site if not) but yeah probably not much stock, so who knows if any of us get what we ordered. I ordered at 7am, so fingers crossed I was quick enough!

Eh I had to work and missed it twice. I check all the Canadian sites a few times daily...the one day I'm sick and working and don't check. :/

Yeah. Depends where you are as Europe is a bit too general.
London is GMT-00
While places such as: Madrid, Berlin, Paris and Stockholm are 1 hour ahead(they've had Amiibos over an hour now)!
Then GMT +2 is Eastern Europe/ parts of Russia.

DDD and Ike were sold out so this just means Bowser, Sheik, Toon Link, Megaman.

I guess I'm going out in person in the morning as well to hunt. :)

EDIT: Looks like Best Buy and Futureshop both brought Diddy out of the dead and back in stock on their sites as well.

Shulk's release date also says Jan 30 on the EB site
 
Zavvi taking their glorious sweet time even processing my order... Got a couple of the wave I ordered from Nintendo, just waiting on Zavvi to send the rest.

Knew I should've stuck with Nintendo

If you're in North America and looking specifically at wave 3, at the moment it's pretty unknown which will be the rare ones. If I had to guess though, I'd say all retail exclusives, and probably Sheik (really any non-mainstream female characters), and king dedede and Ike. Megaman and Sonic may prove hard to get as well, but I dunno, I think those characters are more well known and may have greater production numbers.
 
Amazon UK are dispatching complete wave 3 right now for me. So glad I do not live in America right now lol

So completed Wave 1, 2 & 3 just waiting for amazon to post the next wave.

As for the Super Mario Amiibo set I am only going to get Toad. I dont really want double though the red base its going to annoy the hell out of me

I don't think it's really correct, though.

It's getting harder to find them in Europe, too. In fact, several stores I visited have said me they wouldn't restock Amiibos soon (and thus won't even put wave 3/4 on sale at all).

Depends...

But I'd say that the rarest one worldwide is Little Mac, and Rosalina will most probably be at least a close second. You can probably buy those at first sight without thinking, there'll be plently of interested people that would be glad to buy those to you (I'm not talking about inflated prices, but to each his own).

The third rarest here is Kirby, the fourth is Villager, the fifth Wii Fit Trainer. But for those, your mileage will definitively vary. I know that some people have troubles with Marth, Pit or Falcon, they're unusual, but not as rare as the first two here.

Should have been this in Europe, but all stores broke the release date, and wave 3 hunt has been awful.

I've found (with a LOT of difficulties) Lucario, Ike, Sheik, Toon Link and Bowser, and managed to get Rosalina shipped, though, so I'm done for this wave. I expect the worse for waves 4/5. Especially since I'm away the days before the wave 4 official date (february 20th).
 
This is the one product that I don't mind being in Australia for, so far my Amiibo experience has been simple and easy.

Own all of Wave 1 & 2.
Wave 3 is being delivered to me next week.
Wave 4 and the Mario Party Amiibos are paid off and I simply need to wait.

That said the Amiibo game is expensive, dropping so much money on these things.
