So back in December I ordered a DDD amiibo from Gamestop and when I checked on the order status at the start of the month unless I read the info wrong it appeared to be cancelled, leading to me getting one off of Amazon. Well I got notified about a package in my box today and when I checked to see what it was lo and behold it was the DDD from Gamestop. Not sure what to do with it right now, its still in the box so I might just leave it in there but I'm also thinking about selling it.

Yes, have done so with my Sheik and Samus amiibos in Smash on Wii U and 3DS, obviously you have to save back to the figure after playing.
Oh, good. Still in the game!
If you are looking to let it go for MSRP+shipping, I would be very interested - I don't trust NewEgg to uphold my preorder :/

More than likely they'll have a very very limited re-release. But I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't.
He'll eventually be non-exclusive to Best Buy. And Nintendo World Store will get him again.

Why are they making some of these so damn rare and limited? I can't think of a reason for it other than the fact that Nintendo must really not like the money. Why not just produce another wave or two for the ones that are limited (Rosalina, Villager, Meta, etc) so that people aren't paying scalper prices for them? They're guaranteed to sell.

I think there's still the assumption it's not coming to America in order to incentivize New 3DS XL sales, since the last Direct had parts for the portal in Japan and Europe but not in America.

Just ordered Megaman and Sonic, thanks for the heads up. I wasn't planning on buying them, I really doubt I'll use them in any game, but I somewhat like the characters so I figured it's now or never. I nabbed a Toon Link in store the other day because it I had never seen it before and it was the last one...again because I somewhat like the character and thought it's now or never.
All I initially wanted was a Peach and Rosalina. Thanks to that retailer exclusive bull crap I've given up on Rosalina.

Thanks! Grabbed Mega Man for $17.65! Don't really care about Sonic. I'm only grabbing select amiibo I REALLY like. So far I only have Toon Link, Sheik, and now Mega Man. Just need Ness. Maaaybe Zelda and Kirby if they drop price. I can't spend that kind of money collecting every single one.
