Got a cancellation email from Wal-Mart. I started freaking out.



It was for the Mario Party 10 bundle I cancelled earlier this morning. Email took a while to come.

It's not hard to cancel an eBay order, even if the seller is a dick eBay usually sides with the buyer. I've cancelled a few orders through scalpers after I found lower prices elsewhere.

there are only limits per order, not limits per account.

the last preorder wave was up for 12 minutes, since my info is saved to walmart it took around 15 seconds to order 2 amiibo. Thus if I had wanted to I could have placed 48 orders for a total of 96 amiibo during that time.

There is a chance walmart could have cancelled those orders, but in general walmart is getting their money so why would they care?

and that senerio is just me doing it by hand on one computer. I recall some people from like the gamestop xbox points codes not only using multiple computers but setting up scripts to run and buy the stuff within like 30 seconds resulting in them getting 100s of codes in a 5 minute period.

just saying, a limit per order will only slow some people down a little, not remotely stop them.

note: I only placed a single order for 2 gold mario amiibos, I do not have multiple orders as I don't personally feel the need to have/sell a bunch of copies.

I can't believe I got Gold Mario!!!

I was referesing the Wal Mart USA page and the Canadian site searching "Gold Mario Amiibo" all afternoon.

After I missed the first round I found out you can use a PayPal account with Wal Mart USA to allow the use of a Canadian Credit Card. So I did that and shipped it to a store near the border (45 minutes away) that allows packages to be sent to them for cases like this. They charge $5 when it is picked up. You just use your name and their address.

Eh? The previous waves weren't all that bad to pre-order outside the retailer exclusives. I'm pretty sure all of wave 1-3 had a fairly decent pre-order period, and I think most of them (again, excluding retailer exclusives) were fulfilled in the end.

Yeah. There were some Amiibo I could've easily preordered and didn't. I was on the fence with DeDeDe so I missed him but probably could've had him easy.

Same for Sonic, Sheik, Toon Link, Ike, and Meta Knight.

I feel like a God for having Rosalina, Falcon, Fox, and Mega Man. It's silly.

I'm not sure what exactly you're referencing here. The trinity as in WFT, Villager, and Marth? I don't know, like I said, I'm fairly sure waves 1-3 were up for pre-order for a decent while. I know I was able to preorder everything I could easily. The real problems with getting figures have been post release.

Yeah that's what I'm referring to. Pre-orders for a ton of figures dried up quickly for wave 2 and 3. I'm not referencing wave 1 at all.

first post. just want to say im so happy to have finally joined neogaf.
i started collecting amiibos thinking its gonna be esy have a collection of my beloved nintendo characters but this is getting tiring.

every time i said im done. i look at the rest of the characters they will eventually make and then im back in.

the scarry thing is what if they start a zelda line or a mario kart or animal crossing or pokemon.
