No but on a serious note you just gotta be lucky and snag one as soon as they go in stock online(which happens very randomly and lasts about 5 minutes). You could also check some stores but in my experience they never have anything good.

USA: Friday 2/20, line up at BB, GameStop, or press you luck at WalMart. Last resort: import from Amazon.somewhereoverseas
Europe, Australia, NZ: been out for a while, results may vary
Japan: releases 2/20 or now. Can't remember.
Ike hasn't been widely available since release day in ANZ. He's long gone.

I think the honest best bet is to call some gamestops, find out if they are getting extra to sell, and see if they will hold you one. They should be able to find out a day or two before they arrive how many they are getting. Arriving when they open is a bad plan, the Amiibos so far have been basically set to be sold upon arrival, and it won't be until the afternoon that they have arrived and are ready to be sold.

Some gamestops MIGHT get them 2/18 or 2/19 but first dibs goes to who already preordered. You can also refresh this thread every minute like I do and get lucky with an online retailer. He will sell out in minutes or seconds.
Yeah, this seems really fake, how can you make enough customs to sell at TRU?
I just don't even get when you're supposed to pre-order them.
It could be either that Nintendo is getting their shet together with the stock issues across the country or maybe they still don't care about that and they are just making exclusive deals again with retails and release each freaking figure of Wave 4 on different dates. Hope I REALLY HOPE is the former... : /

I just spent $20 on a Sheik amiibo. First amiibo for me that I spent more than retail for, but I figured Sheik was going to become harder to find, and I'm trying to collect all Zelda characters. I have all four so far, hopefully Ganondorf won't be trouble.

Nintendo wants us to be thinking about amiibo every waking hour our lives, so we won't be seeing Wave 4 available for preorder until they can announce wave 5!
My Sheik from Amazon has finally arrived! She's in perfect shape and actually looks really awesome to me in person. Had only seen pictures before. The red sheikah eye on her front really pops.
Now to get my Ike/DDD/Mega Man/Sonic pre-orders on Friday hopefully, and I'll be done with Wave 3. I don't think I'm going to go after Meta Knight this Friday (didn't get Lucario or Shulk either). The battle for the exclusives is just too much bother unless it's one of my very favorites.

Got a text at 7AM with a Captain Falcon in stock at retail price. Placed my order on my phone and got confirmation. It now sits with the others and I am so happy it was why I got woken up on a Saturday.
(curiously it isn't updated with Lucario on the Canadian side of the site, but hopefully it gets uploaded soon. Just sent them a message with link)
I'll be going on Friday to pick up my Mega Man order, so if Meta Knight is there I'll grab one. If not, then oh well I guess. I don't trust Best Buy to do something like limit 1 per customer.

Preorders started and ended in Dec for the most part. You had to get lucky for any preorders after December.
NoA will probably give the go ahead at 3am on 2/20 to start wave 4 preorders. That way when those are plan on sleeping at all will not get Wave 4 but will at least have a 1/100 chance at a Meta Knight on 2/20. Why all the hassle? Did you really think it was going to get any easier?

I agree. It'd be nice if they started Wave 4 preorders 2/21 but come on, it's so going to be the worst possible time on 2/20 hahaha. Just to screw with us.
The preorders for Ike at pretty much all retailers began in December and ended in December. Yes, preorders went up that long ago and it's taken this long for them to reach retailers.
Target is selling him online only, and has him in stock at random intervals throughout the day, usually only for about 10 minutes at a time (everyone monitors the site constantly and jumps on it immediately). So that's not a preorder, it's literally the only way Target is selling Ike and other Wave 3B Amiibos.
Other retailers are fulfilling preorders of Ike and getting in very limited supplies of non-preordered Ikes. Toys R Us got him in last Friday in very, very limited quantities. It'll probably be the same this Friday when GameStop, Walmart and Best Buy get him in. You'll have to line up in front of the doors of one of these retailers at least an hour (possibly more) before it opens this Friday to have a small chance of getting an Ike.
Call customer service and complain. I did this with tru.com who did a similar packaging job and the next few shipments have been ace. As far as this, it couldn't hurt to try and see if they can exchange it.
I'd offer for him to sell you both AND you not to punch him for $30.

They were in stock to pre-order everywhere around the time the first wave was on store shelves back in November and December. I was able to just randomly pre-order shulk and meta knight at my convenience but didn't pre-order everyone else because I was still trying to be frugal at the time.
I think all the wave 3 preorders had closed by like mid-january.

Damn. As much as Id hate to buy more than retail, those are good prices compared to $70+ for Mac and $100+ for Villager. At least he's not gouging toooooo much. But let's please not start another scalper discussion.
What retailers didn't take preorders? Would it be more likely to find one there, on a walk-in basis?
FWIW, my girlfriend found a Villager amiibo at our local BB in December, and pretty much just got it through store-pickup without preordering, as if it wasn't a hot commodity.
FWIW #2, the local BB is showing Ike as "available for store pickup", but the thing bugs out when you try to add it to your cart. (and yes, I already passed by the store to check)

Target is screwing me over. They cancelled my ike, dedede and sonic to give it to people who recently ordered it. I ordered them back in December and I'm on the phone with them right now and I know it's not gonna get me anywhere

I really couldn't do it either way. Been cutting it pretty close to funds lately so it's all down to "if I get it then I get it" mode when it comes to collecting now.

I got Shiek by happenstance at TrU yesterday and the guy at the counter told me she comes in her own case. So, she could be the next Diddy Kong where she's rare now, but available more later.
Don't feel too bad, I paid $25+ for KingDeDeDe.

I hope soon. I can be on GAF at work and other places, but I'm really getting scared I'm going to miss the Lucina and Robin preorders at this point. I imagine they'll wait until a week or two into March, though. Get Wave 3 out, get people something to preorder while they wait for SMB Wave 1, then drop Wave 4 in April or May.
