Probably holdng them because they were flly paid off preorders. Could be holding them overly long to make sure people get them. Which I'm torn on - as someone who works really inconceniant hours most of the week, that extra holding can be awesome. But it's also annoying when there's such a shortage of an item.

I have a Shulk shipping out from Japan today. 4-8 day shipping..hopefully it will move quick.

I got this from Amazon (Japan) Monday.

Color, sword, and everything seems to be great.

Now that I've learned how to basically ship anything from Japan to myself here in the US (not using an importer like Play-Asia), I think I may do it again if needed.

Got to admit, Ike's stances is up there with Samus' as the best ones in amiibo.
 
Well I was out today all day, but before I went the parcel delivery truck came with mega man (which weirdly I was expecting mega man, Sonic and Shulk, but they weren't there)
Sadly had to go before the postman came...just got back now, and I see another parcel next to the door...which could have been took by anyone. This containing Sonic, so no Shulk...the one I was most looking forward to :(
Logic says if he was in a parcel outside my house next to he other, Sonic would be taken too, so I'm hoping he simply wasn't delivered today for some reason... Really hope he comes tomorrow, gonna be heartbroken if he doesn't come Espicially!

Woohoo! My backordered Ike, Megaman, and Sonic shipped today from gamestop. Very pleased that this happened so quick. Was expecting it to take a lot longer.
 
Someone should have bundles. Wave 4. One set per person. And done. I just want one of each for myself and I fear clicking on each character is gonna cause me to miss out on someone.

The pre-order anxiety is getting worse as time goes on. :|
 
Got my Ike in today. Now it's up to you, Best Buy, to have my store pickup Meta Knight on Friday so that I can be done with Wave 3.

So I called another (competent) target in the area and had them search their system for the villager dcpi code, and she confirmed that the other target should have 4 villager amiibos on hand. So I guess I'm going to call back later and have them check the back and see what they can find.

If the system says that they have 4 villager amiibos, then they should hopefully at least have one.

Managed to get a pre-order in for Charizard and Toad on phase 4 (Amazon UK) about a week ago. I noticed they're not available for pre-order now. Are these likely to be rare? Or is it too early too tell? I doubt it, I was just wondering.

Also, first ones I've decided to get! Jumping in late.

Way too early to tell. Amazon UK are the only preorders available so far I think.

Probably over 50% of their preorders are from us in NA worried about Wave 4 preorders of our own
 
Ahh OK thanks guys. I'm new to this Amiibo buying game. Wasn't aware that Amazon UK is (was) the only country up for pre-order.

I'll try and pick up a few more soon.

I think some stores in Australia or somewhere similar have had wave 4 preorders up for a while now.
 
Sweet, just got a shipment confirmation that Ike and King Dedede should arrive from Gamestop on Friday!

Now to sit outside Best Buy Friday morning so that I can hopefully get Meta-Knight and finish Wave 3...

At least based on /r/amiibo, I'm not the only one suffering from importing problems.

OK, thanks for the info.

I kind of regret not getting a pre-order in for Ness now. I thought I'd only get a couple. Then I discovered how scarce (or inflated) some of them have been. Oh well.

Just a Walmart associate doing their job. When stock gets that low for any given item, nearby, related products are to be spread out so there isn't a giant hole in the run.

Nah, Amazon.uk only had Lucina, Robin, and Ness up for a few moments before they closed preorders.

I just got lucky and was on gaf just when someone brought up that the preorders were up.

I missed those same preorders but maybe a day or so later the preorders went back up and I got them then. Barely got my order in as they were going in and out of stock.

Wow, didn't know that. I guess either some people cancelled or they were able to secure more future stock? Either way, congrats!

But the battle is just beginning. ZSS and Palutena will be the true tests.

And knowing is half the battle. Or so I hear.

I'm worried about how the hell I'm going to display all these. I haven't really told my wife I'm going to have 50+ of these. The 25 or so I have is already a lot.
