I just walked in. EU region, but Meta Knight and Dedede could be pretty rare here it seems. Mega Man probably not, it's still possible to pre-order it on amazon.
 
So I got a call from Gamestop about my Ike Amiibo, they said that Nintendo is actually not letting them give people multiple pre-orders of the same figures. Didn't affect me since I only have one Ike pre-ordered. Old news?

i doubt that's Nintendo's policy. sounds more like the store is limiting them.

Did they happen to say when he'd be available for pick up? Seems I should've heard something by now (Ike, Dedede, Mega, and Sonic all preordered there).

Hey, look at the completely improbable bright side, maybe Nintendo go all-out in the last few waves and overprint EVERYTHING!

Starting with Wave 4. With Lucina and Ness.

Edit: Not too worried with limits on pre-orders. My local Gamestop seems to be doing pretty good with my two of each so far. Though in saying this I probably just cursed it all.

2/25 is when the first wave of preorders arrive at Gamestop for Ike, Dedede, and all preorders for Megaman and Sonic. If you preordered after 12/26 on Ike or after 12/30 for Dedede you're waiting until "spring". Ike is limited to one per customer no matter how many you have on preorder. The other ones have no limit.
 
Well, I take back what I said.

What if you already paid for two pre-orders on Ike and Dedede? Refunds? Going to be a lot of angry customers.
 
Just got emails from gamestop for ike and dedede, ike will come "spring" and dedede sometime "summer" the fuck outta here with this. I preordered january 5th
 
My lot should arrive tomorrow or friday. I want them now. I seriously need to reorganise my shelves. My Amiibos are getting out of hand and are no longer lining the shelves but standing on random game boxes and tins.

Those dates apply to online in-store orders I assume? Preordered everyone from GS.com on the 18th and paid them all off about 2 weeks ago... too close for comfort!

Shame we have another week to go apparently. I already have their spots ready in my display haha

So we have to wait until next week? That kind of blows since all these characters seem to be out in the wild already. Why does GameStop get Amiibos so much later than everyone else?
 
I got a little Mac off eBay, it was poorly packed and little macs packaging was all bent and shit. Lucky i was going to take it out of the packaging anyway but this shit wasn't cheap at aus$60. Should I leave bad feedback?
 
It's crazy to think we're just now getting things shipped that we preordered in November-December.
 
Add me to the metaknight has shipped bunch. Actually both orders. The one from months ago and the one from the other day. Woot.

Just waiting on walmart at this point. Dedede and Ike.
 
Anyone got a text from Gamestop yet to pick up their amiibos in store? I'm worried they may sell it to someone or forget to mention they have them in store.

Which ones? Sonic/MM/Ike/DDD will only be available for you on the 25th if you preordered before Christmas, if not you have to wait til Spring

Not really. I preorder games all the time that take longer. What is crazy is how inconsistent the release dates are. I mean back when they were all preordered people thought that this phase was 2/1 and now we are looking at 2/20 as the next day a bunch of stores release a few while a week ago other stores released the same ones. That is a major thing I hope they are working on with the next phase.
 
New Zealand: EB Games appears to have everyone from Wave 3 in stock except for Mega Man, Sonic and Ike. They've been adding stock every morning so check back constantly.

I'm about to post a couple of Meta Knights to a Canadian gaffer :)

Might pick up Peach while I'm down there.

Also I somehow have two spare Ikes...

GS.com pick up in store are still safe if the orders were placed before Christmas right? I mean probably but I just want to be extra sure :p

I'm looking out for Mega Man because I really want him and maybe Ike for Codename Steam. By the looks of it EB is actually getting restocks, but those two are delayed worldwide. How cheap are you getting shipping? It's costing me $14 per amiibo to the States and Canada so I gave up trying.

Nobody wants Sonic.

Should be because the Store computer will tell us what date you ordered on!

Not 100% on that but like 90% sure, this Amiibo situation is confusing for us too!
 
You basically have to preorder at every store in case a random delay happens. :\
