Went to Target today, and saw one of those big Rosalina signs above the amiibo section, but when I asked a clerk, he scanned the bar code and said they hadn't gotten any in since the initial launch. Not sure why they hung that giant salt-in-the-wound sign up...
And while I was checking out with my Pikachu, the clerk said that when they first came out, he saw people buying "literally 40 of these things", and I had to resist from going on a scalper rant.
Also, GS emailed me that my Ike has been delayed until "sometime this Spring"...

10am, but be sure you are somehow able to know if your store is getting extra stock, because best buy its always extremely undersupplied. Also... there is going to be a line since 6am for sure, maybe the night before.
Yeah, I imagine people would show up pretty early, though I was the first in line for the Mega Man release at TRU. However, this being a store exclusive is a whole different ball game. Maybe I should just sleep in. :/

You are right. But the world of amiibo is a dark and desperate place with little meaning. It's basically a Jean Genet play, but with plastic Nintendo toys.

Was 11 degrees last week and there were still a ton at TRU. Going to be -1 this Friday and I expect there to be more.
I'm really not looking forward to it. Really wish I didn't miss out on Meta when he went up a few days ago, and on Ike some more today. Hoping that stuff comes up again since I don't want to go out there 2 hours early only to have someone that showed up after me just run by me and the store not care.

It was -10 here for the n3DS launch and I am 99% sure the first person in line was a scalper. He was about 35-40. "I am here for my kid." I doubt he has a kid old enough to have played Majora's Mask back when it came out.
I don't think a kid would even know about the variations to the n3DS model. I digress, though. Prepare like it's a console if you really want the figure so badly.

For christmas, i received a receipt with some of Wave 3B pre-ordered from GameStop around early December, there was a spare that I already reserved, so I switched the extra pre-order over to a King Dedede pre-order.
I called my GameStop and asked them about it, worried. They said "yeah we got the email about it", paused for a second, said almost in a 'don't stress about it' kind of voice "call back 2/25"
What do you think it means? Is my pre-order safe? Will I count as reserving it earlier because of my other ones?

I just received shipment confirmation today, with confirmed delivery for Monday. I chose 2-3 FedEx shipping, so I'm getting it quick.
The other 4 were ordered from Nin-Nin Game, but I'm worried that I won't get it next week. I contacted their customer service,I hope to hear back soon.

Nah, preordered from Nippon-Yassan and Nin-Nin. If I had known these would be available today, I wouldn't have preordered for as much as I did from these sites...wish I knew. These amiibos were pricey, particularly from Nin-Nin.

Get NAMES. Call back and ask for that persons name. Or better yet go there. Be nice but make sure you know who's responsible for getting you your figure without giving it to someone else. Make sure they have your order in their system. Check back here on 2/22 and every day following. Why? Because usually we will post if our local gamestops are getting DDD. If ours are, usually all GS's around the country will get them around those same days.
