Amiibo Thread 5 | Because we didn't preorder thread 4

Did anyone who recently preordered Meta Knight from Best Buy get an email about a delay today? Kinda freaked me out, but the date didn't seem to change...

If I look at the item status, it says "confirming store inventory".

Should I be scurr'd?
 
Oh phew! My Shulk arrived just now, thank god!
Probably one of my most wanted, if not most wanted, amiibo, so thats a relief!

So basically what happened was on my postage label it looked like this:

Name,
Work Street,
London,
Postcode
[Home Postcode] - this one was crossed out

So i'm guessing the sonic one was just like this:

Name,
Work Street,
London,
Postcode
Home Postcode

And they are confused by the conflicting postcodes :/
 
OK, I leave for a couple of days. I just came back.

1- My Majora New 3DS is cancelled

2- most wave 3B Amiibos preorders have a 3rd of march release date, none have shipped yet

3- I see wave 4 Amiibos (Wario, Robin and co) listed on Amazon.fr, of course unavailable, I fear I've missed preorders (again)


For 1, I guess I can just hope there's a reprint (they talked about it, no?)

For 2, fingers crossed... have european gaffers received their 3B orders (or shipping notice)?

For 3...

I say I hate this mess more and more...

Ah right I understand. I would hope they would be able to figure it out though if that is the case. Maybe just delievering late. In my case, it seemed the postman was supposed to deliver 2 parcels, but didn't and thats why 1 was delivered today. Hoping it works out for you man!
 
Oh great, Amazon UK has separated my Shulk preorder from the rest of my wave 3B pre-orders. Just waiting for that cancellation mail now. This is Little Mac all over again
 
Just got the five new ones. Meta Knight's mask is dirty and has melted spots. Heard from someone else his one was the same. Will look to take pictures.

Why do you give us a faulty batch, Nintendo. :(

Cant seem to find Sonic anywhere, my gamestop order got cancelled.

Does any any GAFer want to trade a Sonic for a Sheik, Lucario, Ike, MegaMan or Rosalina?
 
Any updates on Meta? Is best buy actually getting him tomorrow? my preorder still hasn't moved to the final ready for pick up stage, and toon link and sonic did that days before the release date for each...
 
My Mega Man and Sonic arrived from Nintendo UK. Both look great. Meta Knight, Shulk and Dedede will arrive from Amazon UK tomorrow.

I really need to get Wave 4 preordered. I'm growing increasingly concerned that I won't be able to.
 
Quick question. If Fry's doesn't ship Mega Man before next Wednesday & I manage to find one when I pick Sonic up at GameStop, is there an easy way of canceling my order with them?

Oh, okay. I have Charizard and Wario preordered anyway. But these other four are proving ridiculously elusive. It's the first time I've had any problems getting hold of any amiibo here in the UK.

That's strange. If I look on pictures on the internet (and looked up an unboxing video on youtube), he looks clean. And he doesn't have those meldted spots. I know he has dirty fangs on his wings, but those on the mask doesn't look natural... If I'm home, I'll take a pic of it.

And everyone but the "rare"s were stocked just fine. Somehow Mario, Donkey Kong and Luigi got their way through the port block, but Pit and Little Mac didn't? I'm not buying it.

me either. It is just currently a convenient excuse to use

maybe there are multiple shipping crates full of Little Mac, Villager, WFT, Captain Falcon, and Pit just sitting there unable to get through the strike...soon to glut the market. yea. that's it I'm sure. lol

You have to keep in mind, less common characters were not manufactured as long thus less stock quantities. There could have been some more of the "rares" but even with the port strike, don't expect numbers on shelves like mario, donkey kong, peach etc.
 
Awesome. I just got an email stating my Metaknight preorder will be ready for pickup tomorrow. I was worried that he'd be cancelled since it was apart of that buy 2 get 1 free glitch way back in November. He was the one that was free.

False alarm. I just got another email stating Meta Knight is ready to pick up tomorrow. Whew!
 
Morning everyone! So last night I would say our LINE group was a success! I know we helped a bunch of people on there acquire some Sonics, Mega Men, and DDD's! We're almost at 50 members scouring the internet for those wave 4 preorders the second they pop!
Our group has a bunch of GAF All-Stars including Diggeh, Greenwolfe, ThisBeJason, Blue Namagem, and Kierwynn! Of course EVERYONE is important for this to work, these are just well-known Gaffers.

I can't believe that I missed out on getting Lucina and Robin because I didn't put the correct wording when search for them on Amazon UK. ¬_¬

Only ended up pre-ordering Charizard Amiibo.
