Anyone ever order from one of the many 3rd parties that Amazon lists? I see some of the Amiibo's I want, and with the current exchange rate, I would pay about what it would cost in the US...

I only ever used fulfilled by amazon sellers for third party ones, so I can still just easy return it if it's damaged. Don't know if that is as important to people who don't have prime though.
Yes, though you'll only get Ike if you preordered on or before 12/26 and ypu'll only get Dedede if you preordered on or before 12/30. Sonic and Mega Man will be available no matter when you preordered them.
Waited 15 minutes in the video game section while the one employee couldn't figure out which controller charge cable the customer he was helping needed (she had a ps3, and he couldn't figure out which one was which), while only side eyeing me; not so much as an "ill be right with you." After he finally got her the right cord, he walks away right past me with something in his hand to go put on the shelf with, again, 0 acknowledgment. I waited a few more minutes, and after nothing, I walked to the other side of the section where he was talking to another employee in car audio. This time, he does look up at me, and, not before rolling his eyes, asks "What?" I mention I know he's probably asked about it a lot, but if he knew if he knew anything about the Metaknights for tomorrow. He audibly sighs, says no, and turns back to his friend. Confused, I ask if he could check to see if they at least had any that weren't preordered. Ignored, still talking to friend. I mention that id rather not have to wait 2 hours in the cold for something they may not even have. His friend laughs, he turned to me, smirked and shrugged, and walked off. And that's when I walked out before I got into a shouting match with the manager I was seconds away from asking for.

Even though I open and use all my amiibos, I cut the boxes open as carefully as possible with an exacto knife and keep them in my closet. I dunno why...they are nice looking.

No joke, I applied to that department once, went in for an interview and everything, nothing. A week later, I stopped in for something on sale (I think it was a controller, I don't remember), and I asked the guy a general question (Didn't have my phone on me to check myself). And he was all just "uhs" and "ums", before he goes "I'm sorry this is my 2nd day here, I don't know games that well".
Thats why when it comes to retail, I tend to remember the words "There'll always be someone less qualified than you doing your interview"

Yikes...not going for Meta Knight tomorrow. Weather forecast says wind chill will be between -15 and -25 when Best Buy opens tomorrow. Not waiting in line with that. If there is no restock, I'll be buying on ebay

I hope people stay in their cars till like 10 minutes before opening, but they won't.
I screwed it up last week at TRU. Got out my car simply to grab something from the truck and like 6 people immediately got out their cars and we all had to line up 55 minutes before. Luckily TRU let us inside where the carts are when there was 25 mins left. Plus they handed specific Amiibo tickets in the line.
