Err, it takes a while to ship these things, it's like 3 weeks by boat from China to America.

Btw, quick update: I've finally sent all 7 Mega Mans to Saludos Amiibos for custom recoloring, and the anticipation is KILLING ME! Ah MAN, I just want to see em all done already!
So close, I can't wait!
He said he'd update me as the project comes along. Part of me doesn't even wanna see any of it, but who am I kidding, I don't wanna ignore it.
Pics will follow, as I've said many times before. And, as I've said also, they will be GLORIOUS!

That's exactly right. I am curious how somebody has 90 preorders especially with that high of a seller rating (obviously not a scammer). Creating or having 45 different accounts on walmart seems unlikely. The only thing I can think of is they have a contact at a Walmart.

Trying to figure out what to do about the trinity...I know there's a chance that they will be reprinted, but I also have a feeling that they are going to be really tough to get if that happens.
I have all of the others accounted for through wave three (just waiting on Shulk, Ike and DDD to come from Gamestop). So far I only imported one other figure - Meta Knight because I knew Best Buy was going to be a pain to deal with.
I see a lot of auctions on eBay for the three, and I am tempted to pull the trigger. (Euro ones - not NA - because I'm just going to open them anyway)

Scalpers would be fine with that. Who is more likely to randomly find some at a store, a person who goes out shopping once a week or someone who is out everyday already looking for them?
I got it for $30 on eBay right before they were released at Best Buy because I knew someone who worked at Best Buy and knew how hard it was going to be to get it because I couldn't take off work to try for it.
I've been lucky getting the rest of them without having to go to the scalpers, but not so with the three.

you forget. the internet is a big place. there are people who have money to blow. these whales have better things to do with their time than looking for these things. so the ebay merchants are out whale hunting.
At the rate they are charging, and if they do actually manage to get the 100 preorders, they'll clear $6,000 after fees. Gold Mario living up to its name for that seller.
I for one welcome our amiibo trading card overlords.

I remember my Grandma would open the package, turn the cards upside down, and make my little brother and I pick one at a time. He would get more holographic cards than I would.

The cards will probably be a pretty sturdy plastic to support the NFC chip, so it'll probably be like a pack of three for $8.

I'm not against the cards if they did it in say, sets of waves. Although I have no idea how much it would cost to make the cards, I would imagine you could do say, Wave 1 as a set of cards and sell it for around $20 right? Or is the chip part of the amiibo the expensive part?
If I could have every character in card form for cheap I might do it, I like fighting against amiibos.
Edit: Also my Ike from the UK arrived yesterday and D3 came in today! Target said he'd be delayed till March 13th but he apparently not.

If older sets are anything like the new, your assumption is probably true, lol. Holos are in a set place; as are Reverse Holos. Think it was... The sixth card for the reverse and seventh for the holo?

Thunder Beam and Top Spin look identical, and I feel Top Spin is more appropriate, given that Mega Man has it as his dash attack in Smash.
Regarding Gemini Laser, it's one of various "light blue" weapons across many of the games. Air Shooter, while looking dark blue in the official art, is actually lighter blue and, also, I feel more appropriate as it's his Up Air move.
Rush Coil could technically be Item-1/2/3, even. Same color scheme. But, yet again, it's in Smash, so Rush Coil it is!

i usually go to lots of forums and on reddit and CAG people are putting trade lists asking for consoles for amiibos and some are getting trades :O
like a zelda majoras mask 3ds xl for amiibos, i think i might try that with my back ups.
the flood or restocks is coming, i can feel it

, that amiibo will help Speaking of Amiibo cards, honestly, I wouldn't want cards of an Amiibo package. Nintendo trading cards (with pretty art) would be MUCH better. Add a big selection of characters too and that would be great. All of which could unlock stuff. I remember I got Super Nintendo/Game Boy character cards out of I think a cereal box, and those were awesome 
I do wonder though.... NoA also crapped on us with Kid Icarus cards. Remember those? EU had them sold in stores (I believe), Club Nintendo prizes, AND a fancy binder w/checklist! I fear for Amiibo cards with that whole thing that happened. Only lucky NA people that made it to places like PAX got new Kid Ic boosters. Only way I got so many :/
