DLC CHARACTERS LEAKED

Those DLC characters look too good to be fake.

Actually, upon closer inspection, the bubble molds look like they are for different figures.
 
Is Sheik not hard to find any more? I walked into TRU last night and found 7 or 8 probably.

I haven't seen any from the newer parts of wave 3 though. I had preorders on MK and Lucario, but now I really want that Mega Man.

The figure for Amy uses her super-old Sonic CD design. They wouldn't print a modern figure using that design.
 
I had a dream that wave 4 launched pre-orders today.

...then it didn't happen.

And TRU had plenty of Toon Link and Sheik last night. So that was cool.
 
Any news on the Toad amiibo and how rare he is? I was speaking with my GF about it and she said that it was going to be a limited production run. Not sure if true but if it is I'm thinking of snagging a Japanese one for her since she wanted one. Any insight would help out a lot.
 
So everyone is saying Toon Link, Sonic, Sheik (and Mega Man to an extent) are common to uncommon and popping up everywhere now. I've seen one Sheik at a Target and THAT'S IT. Not even a wild Toon Link anywhere.

Toon Link and Sheik are fairly common for me, but that's anecdotal. I've seen them at Target and TRU recently. Never seen a wild Sonic or Mega Man other than the day I got them.

My buddy actually found a Lucario on shelf and picked him up a few days ago! 0.o
Maybe I'm just not diligent enough lol
 
I've seen Toon Link and Sheik a lot, and Sonic I saw once Gamestop got the restock, no Megaman though. No Dedede or Ike either but I suppose that goes without saying...

Toon Link is really common here now. I saw about 2 dozen at TRU and another 5 at another TRU, a handful at Best Buy, a couple at Target, and a half dozen at Meijer. For Sheik I've only seen 3 (at TRU). Sonic I saw 2 at Meijer. That's all in the last week or so.

Mega Man I have yet to see in the wild.

There is no indication it will be a limited run. Nintendo said the Super Mario line of amiibo would get plenty of stock (or something similar). Toad will be harder to find at first simply because he will be of higher demand because the other characters already have an amiibo, and will probably also not receive as high of a production initially.

Here's my advice. Wait and try to get one at the stores on release day. If you cannot wait because it's an important gift and you don't want to take the chance, import. But my guess is you'll be able to find one in the US if you put in some effort.
 
Hate to be off topic, but the CN Smash Bros soundtrack came in...but there is 3 cracks in it, two of them being noticeably large. What are the chances I can get it replaced?

At this time, I am telling myself only SSMB+(Gold Mario & Toad).

But if this entire Amiibo thing has taught me anything, I am incredibly weak willed

My wallet is going to hurt from the new limited edition 3DSXL for it and amiibos and new 3ds face plates (that I will get even I don't have a new 3ds). I do think they'll do a small run maybe like 4-6 amiibos for that fire emblem.

I'm just wondering how the 4 smash fire emblem amiibos will interact with that game.

I'm stopping after smash. I did preorder the gold mario and toad, but I may cancel toad. I'm not sure what exactly toad brings to the table for Capt. Toad.

I may also cancel my Mario Party X bundle because I'd rather have the gold mario than the regular mario.

I don't plan on buying Mario ones (I would be interested though if they made ones of enemies...piranha plant, goomba, koopa troopa, magikoopa, shy guy, dry bones, etc....).

But if/when a full Zelda line hits, I'm all in.

I ordered my Shulk amiibo when he first launched. I seriously consider myself lucky. I guess you could say... I'M REALLY FEELING IT!
 
I just ordered two Mega Mans, one for me and one for my friend and it successfully went through. I hope it doesn't get canceled, I have never ordered more than one amiibo of the same kind before.

Oh man, I love some of these series, but I know how to draw the line... or at least I try to. I wouldn't go all in on any series after smash, smash is 50ish characters and I committed to that. I couldn't commit again.

My future amiibo purchases will be based on functionality or if I feel I absolutely need a character... which limits it to Hookbill, Lemmy, Iggy, Waluigi, and Daisy. Honestly... what's the likelihood?

For me, it's not worth getting Toad since I've already aced the game. Bummer that all the other amiibo do is give you 1-Ups since I don't actually need 1-Ups anymore (I had 99 going into the last maze).

Yeah, I can totally see that especially if you are buying every smash amiibo. The difference for me is that I'm not all in on Smash. I'm buying a selection of the amiibo that I really want/need instead of getting the entire line which leaves me open to be pulled all in on a future franchise line (like Zelda) that I doubt I could stop myself from buying.

Yeah, 2 things bum me out about amiibo, lack of functionality outside of smash... and the one save per amiibo. They could've designed it to be more versatile.

Honestly, I was hoping that buying the amiibos would add replay value to Smash, but I've yet to really do anything with them or even play smash since release week.

I'm only buying it since I'm going all-in on the Mario-line. Since I don't own SSB i didn't see any reason to buy all of the amiibos, just the ones I actually like.
