Maybe some new ones were not listed or perhaps they will use the time to reprint older rare ones..

Probably won't get any Splatoon amiibos but if one comes bundled with the game said:

They did have a listing on that site with Splatoon + amiibo,
Bundle seems likely of this leak is true.

I went to the BX today (It's like a walmart for the air force base) and they have 5 copies of Codename Steam out on the shelf. I tried to buy it but the cash register wouldn't let them.... made me sad.
 
I wasn't really planning on buying any Amiibo other than Ness but seeing this in person I gave in and made an impulse buy. At least I didn't walk out of there with Luigi as well.

I wish they had him in a better pose, though. His pose for "Show me your moves" or "Come On!" would have been much cooler.

No. Most stores here simply just import from the USA. Though sometimes I found Amiibos in Japanese or European packaging.

Heh. Een if I did buy more though Ill probably just stick to the characters I play a lot who besides Falcon and Ness are Luigi. Wario, Donkey Kong, Jigglypuff,Ganondorf and Palutena. Also Lemmy but they'll probably just make a Bowser Jr. Amiibo if they ever decide to do more smash amiibos so meh.
 
If anyone still needs Mega Man and Sonic, both are available at www.nfm.com, Nebraska Furniture Mart, and I have purchased Amiibo from them and it's a legitimate Amiibo seller. The only issue I, as well as others, had was that they would put the Amiibo in a box with no packing so they could shift around freely. Thankfully mine came perfectly fine, but the potential for damage to the box is there.
 
Maaaaan, I've successfully limited my amiibo collection to a theme of "old-school characters that I particularly like." The Splatoon inklings look so rad, though, and I have a feeling I'm going to enjoy the hell out of that game. If Splatoon's amiibo content is even halfway worthwhile, I'd bet an inkling will be right next to Little Mac and Captain Falcon.

Oh geez. I just realized that Splatoon amiibo would work on storing your custom Inkling since you can customize clothing, weapons, & such. Save it on the amiibo so you can take it to your friend's place & scan it to transfer/use your own unique Inkling character.

So uh, yeah, kind of hope that listing is true.

Oh man, I hope that rumor of just 2 Smash amiibos coming in a wave with Splatoon ones isn't true. That would be evil. There's what, 13 Smash characters left after wave 4? (14 with Mewtwo). There's so many people -- myself included -- who have sworn that they're only buying the Smash amiibos and then walking away...imagine if Nintendo releases the last 14 in seven pairs of 2, mixed in with other random series. They could stretch the Smash line for another year easily, and probably get people who were planning to exit after Smash finishes to buy a bunch of other ones along the way just because they're still on the hype train.
 
So I decided to finally use my opened Amiibos (Sonic, Mega Man and Captain Falcon).
I was playing with 3 other friends, so I thought he'd learn better in an all out fight, so I just threw him in there. He was horrid at first, but once he hit 50.

Holy shit.

Then I decided to up the ante, and I just added Mega Man and Captain Falcon, they soon hit Lv 50 and where just dominating. Sonic was a monster in every match.
 
Any guides for painting them? Since Mario is so easy to find I was thinking about making a silver one and a wood base for a trophy. Seems easy enough.

One speculative argument on the amount of each character Nintendo produces is that retailers can't afford the shelf space to display them all. I'm not convinced, and I think there's a better argument (not the evil company "manufactured demand" one), but if so, Nintendo stretching the rest of the line out with fewer amiibo released at a time would mean they could grant each character more shelf space and produce more.

Like most other Plastic toys all you need to do is:

1- Place warm water and soap in a bowl and place the toy inside the toy inside to clean it.

2- Spray it with a primer and allow it to cure.

3- Spray it with a good silver paint and allow it to cure.

4- Spray it with a sealer. You have a choice between matt and gloss finish for this.

I recommend buying Tamiya brand for all the above items.
 
How do you guys keep your amiibo figures from collecting dust? I'm thinking of displaying them on top of my game shelf, but it gets dusty up there so I'm not sure I want to.

I keep them in a nice storage box temporarily until I have the time/skill to replicate the Smash 64 box.
