We took a lot of the goofy chatter to the LINE group. Keeps the thread nice and clean.

The lack of preorders is just driving us all insane.
 
Yea, I'm getting turned off by the lack of pre-orders going up. I want to collect all of these but it is starting to get too stressful.
 
I wonder how much of the Super Mario line stores will be getting on the 20th. I missed all the Toad pre-orders and am thinking of just hitting a store up at opening on the 20th, probably Best Buy.

Toad will most likely be uncommon. There's already too many Smash Mario, Peach and Bowser clogging shelves. Not sure how that'll work.

These are the Amiibo that I own. Only Pikachu and Megaman are unopened at the moment. I splurged and bought a Mega Man when i saw only one left at a GameStop in a mall. Got Pikachu at Target just 'cuz, and I received Captain Falcon from my friend today. He just gave him to me. Too bad he didn't have the box as well.


So I'd like to take a chance and ask if anyone has a Captain Falcon Amiibo box they don't want if they would be kind enough to give me? It's a stretch but thought I'd ask. Only asking for the box. :)

That said, hey, we own similar amounts of Amiibo and aline with Fox, Falcon, Samus, and Mega Man. Good taste!

Haha it's all good.

And yeah, I'm not really wanting to buy many amiibos, but if I come across some that I like or my cousin does, I'll get them. I usually open them and take the aluminum strip out and tape them back up. I don't plan on reselling so doing that is just so they can be usable and be pretty in the box at the same time.

I really want Dr. Mario, Falco, and Ness amiibo. That's pretty much it. haha

Hey man, didn't mean to criticize you! I guess line/pushbullet is a good thing overall, but this thread used to be a bit more entertaining. :) Anyway, looking forward to the new one, I am sure the hype will return soon enough, it's naturally a bit more quiet atm.

You're going to love the new design! I basically remade the current OT from scratch so that I can add further waves. I have this huge custom amiibo wallpaper background, custom fonts, etc.
 
I hope they are purposely putting off taking pre orders in favor of allowing more production time. Either way, gamestop in store pre orders seem to be a sure bet. Probably won't have a problem going in there a week after pre orders open to put money down on the whole wave.
 
Sorry Lucina > Snake, but figma Snake was tempting, too bad Snake is really really overpriced (imo) and comes out in the same month.

For those that want it, better to buy it first because aftermarket prices are high for a long time lol.

But it's Figma Snake! He's glorious! Revoltech one is too tiny and badly detailed for my Smash collection.
 
I've got Snake AND Lucy ordered. And Darth Vader. Next month is gonna be cray.

Edit: And Ness and Robin amiibos from NinNinGame. Though I'm still not sure how great they are.

I have 3 Amiibos that will be shipping with Lucina, I'd really like Snake too but that would kill my wallet lol.

It's possible, but I doubt it. We still have a month and a half until they release in the EU and Japan, so that's plenty of time for pre-orders to open here. Pre-orders for the Gold Mario only went up three weeks early.

I think the real reason why they're cutting it so close this time is to be absolutely sure retailers know exactly how many they'll have available on release, so we don't have pre-orders being cancelled left and right like before.

Though this is still dumb, since it seems like a much better idea to just have supply actually meet demand. I guess it's better than a bunch of false hopes though.

I guess. I'm also hoping they're delaying taking pre orders in order to create even more of each character than in previous waves.

I just wonder when retailers online will start using a cart reserve system, give a person a few minutes to check out and their item is reserved in the meantime. Kinda like how ticketmaster works. Would eliminate so much frustration. I'm a lot more pissed on missing a pre order when I get all the way through the process and then I'm told its sold out after I click send order.

If Nintendo could have exact right amount on shelves day one I think they probably would. It's just a little more complex than pushing a button or something, y'know?

Feeling very ambivalent towards Amiibo recently. Find myself thinking they're half-assing the Toys to Life angle and wishing they'd fully embrace them as mini collectible statues. Scrap the NFC chip, make 'em <$10, and do 'em up right.

Half this thought comes from how many they make...None of the primary features have been interesting to me, but the secondary unlocks have been cool. With how many amiibo characters they keep making, the secondary unlocks will be reserved only for the big boys. What're the odds of seeing Little Mac or Ness unlock anything anytime soon?

If Ness pops up, i'll be first in line. Rather have a guaranteed 2nd one for the lady in my life so i don't have to hunt him down come April/May.
