Too bad for that bundle, it would be weird to take out the figure. Either you take it out carefully and leave the box as is, or take the box out too and leave the huge gap. Not a fan of that, especially since I take out the figures and toss the boxes (AFTER I take photos of them). Oh well, not into Mario Party so never got the bundle. Waiting for the separate sku.

That's true but I wonder if they are going to make exception for Smash characters because we know that there are somewhat good amount of fans that really want all Smash characters but again it could apply for Mario Party lineup as well.

It seems to be, I got it into my cart 1 time about 2 hours ago.
Not sure if they are still getting hammered or just changed the way they are having it show up.
I also have two service plans for nothing in my cart that I can't delete lol, oh boy.
Yup but keep in mind that each have amiibo can only store game data from one game series , I hear that if you leveled up your mario in smash you might have to overwrite that data , I'm not sure if mario party utilizes anything that will overwrite but I thought it was best you were aware of this.
I don't think any of the Amiibo are canceled. The problem was distribution and the dock strike on the west coast holding up stuff to allow scalpers to take advantage of more busy people who can't find the time to go everywhere or hunt all over online for stock to pop up.
I got it from a couple chain stores that their Nintendo rep claims they've taken over production of the things now because their vendor was not capable of doing it, but it will take a couple months to resolve itself (may) before things are better off. I'm fine personally paying a max of $20 shipped on an Amiibo but nothing more because I know I could wait.
I don't use them in games anyway, but I grew up with the NES/SNES and I'd love to get the mascot characters for my work desk, and I'd like Shulk too just for the Xenoblade compatibility next month. I refuse to fork over like $25 on Fox, $40 on Shulk and like $80 on Pit or Little Mac whatever they're up to as it's nuts. Around this area I can get Mega Man, Sheik, and Sonic easily and anything more common than that too, but the chain one offs and the more rare/obscene rare I've never spotted.

Waluigi is more recognizable than 90% of the characters in Smash. I expect amiibos for the other characters eventually. Their boards will be added to the game via a patch.

No I'm not! People underestimate the popularity of the Mario IP. Waluigi alone has appeared in 43 games. That's why I find it silly how people bitch about there being too many Mario characters in Smash.

Mario is popular, but that doesn't mean that everything within the Mario IP is particularly well known or recognizable. Saying that Waluigi is more recognizable than 90% of the Smash roster is a gross exaggeration. Maybe 50-60%.
He's recognizable cuz he's snidely whiplash/dick dastardly. But yeah, this isn't the Super Mario 10 amiibo series, it's the SMB so I expect it as well.

Pretty happy at the moment. The place I work at gave me this sweet Nike display case they haven't used in years. It has 3 shelves, 4 locks (lol), spins 360 degrees. Should be able to fit 7-8 Amiibo per shelf. Hopefully I'll get more Amiibo soon. Saving money for upcoming games at the moment.
I'd like to cover the Nike logo with something visually appealing. A sticker probably won't work because the logo pops out a bit.

Mario Party seems to be the only currently-announced game that DOES overwrite the smash stuff. Everything else I can think of just scans what figure it is.
Just wait until there's a Knuckles Amiibo, then put it front-and-center on the display, but turned a bit to the side?
Also, my Mega Man's finally shipping, so that's pretty exiting.
Those are both among the top so far in quality, and I'd say they are equivalent in rarity on the retail side of things where they basically didn't exist in stores (Dedede will showing up at gamestop, but if you don't have a preorder, in my experience it's a waste of energy attempting to get one). I'd say Dedede is more impressive than Pit, but looking at sold listings on ebay today, he went for as much as 55+ shipping, while DDD went for as much as 35. But DDD is the current wave, so there are more resellers trying to sell, pushing his price down. In the long run, I'm guessing they'll be equivalently valued. They're both really awesome though, so personally I'd only be trading if I had an extra to trade with. If I did, I would do this trade no matter which one I was trading.
... i just noticed the Mario Party stuff inferring that Waluigi and Daisy aren't getting Amiibos. That's very disappointing; the only Amiibo I was/am more excited for than those 2 is the Duck Hunt Duo. They're oddballs, but I find them more charming than the others out of the typical Mario spin-off cast.
Hopefully, they're only showing these characters because they'll be the only characters with Amiibos at the time of release; I'm sure Rosalina could carry a wave on her own, but I doubt those 3're going to be the entirety of one wave.

As I said before, they absolutely are getting amiibos. The only "evidence" they aren't is that they aren't listed as supported amiibos in-game, which really isn't proof at all. They're just not going to list support in-game for something that hasn't even been announced yet. We'll definitely see a SMB Wave 2 with figures for the remaining 7 characters, paired with a patch to enable their use. I have absolutely zero doubt of that.

I haven't fully decided this yet, but I think I'm getting out of the Amiibo game. It's too expensive and after calculating how much I spent, I actually felt terrible LOL.
So I was wondering if you guys had any suggestions on what the best way would be to unload my collection easily? Keep me in mind, I have no eBay feedback or anything like that. If I were to sell it, I would like to sell the complete set (I have wave 1 / 2 / 3).
Now, I haven't fully decided what I'm gonna do yet, but I definitely am out for future waves. It's just too expensive and another 19 figures is insane. I bought a lot doubles, equating to 19 as well, so I would be complete if I didn't buy all these extras as well.

Just stay for the Smash Bros. set and then leave if you want. Selling them will be a pain and you will lose money on it.
I'm sure you could probably sell some to people here. Especially if they're still sealed.
They are all sealed. Perfect condition.
Can you return any? Can you trade some of your doubles for the future waves? If you have doubles of the holy trinity, you could fairly easily sell them on ebay, without any feedback, and use that alone to finance all of the remaining waves. Any combination of these options should help salve your bleeding wallet.

I'd suggest holding off on off-loading them, just in-case you decide you wished you hadn't later, especially if there's worthwhile in-game functionality you could end up missing out on. Give it a little time to be sure.
If you did decide to off-load them though, I don't imagine your lack of eBay feedback would be an issue. Your set would probably sell pretty quickly as long as you don't go too overboard on the price. Especially if you offer free shipping, and honestly shipping stuff isn't that bad, especially if you just do it all one go.
That said though, if one of those duplicates happens to be a Meta Knight and for whatever crazy reason you happen to be willing to ship it separately for a less-than-ebay price instead of making bank on it... *wink* *wink* *nudge* *nudge*
