Everyone has different opinions of course and that's cool, but I really think the Mario line are much worse looking than the Smash versions of the same characters. I'll take the extra detail and action poses over these every day. Stands included.

Id agree that Peach, Mario, and yoshi don't really look better but Luigi and bowser definitely do. Bowser seems to have more detail and he's bigger.

Gold looks pretty decent i'd say. that's about what i was expecting. that seal is the real deal though.
i love exclusives that have stickers on them. I wonder if goldie will be exclusive permanently to walmart? It doesn't look like it has a walmart exclusive sticker on it, just "gold edition"

So I'm contemplating canceling my MP10+Mario pre-order. It's through Amazon and I managed to lock it down prior to the brief price drop to $50, so I would be getting the Mario for free, but I don't know if I care about the game itself enough. It's been ages since I played a Mario Party (MP5 was the last one I played) and I kind of want to pick up a new one, but I have no idea if I'll ever be able to play it with anyone or if I'll enjoy it enough on my own... I probably SHOULD cancel it, especially since it's only 10 days away, but I dunno. I wish I knew for sure when reviews went up so I could just wait until then to decide...

the SMB amiibos have come regularly in and out of stock since they've been announced...i dont think this has anything to do with the SSB amiibos sadly.

Ohhh AmiiboGAF, I'm so happy! Just 3 weeks ago, after buying the entire wave 3, I decided to join the madness of hunting Amiibos without having any amiibo of wave 2 nor wave 1, including the holy trinity. Today, I got a really AWESOME trade of my both extra Megaman and Shulk for a Wii Fit Trainer and Villager (both NA region).
Today is a good day indeed!
Now the only Amiibo left is Marth which I'm planning to get at its second release in April. The best part is that I didn't need to pay to any scalper since I just trade my extra copies of unicorns of the wave 3 that I bought at normal price.
The ride of hunting Amiibo is painful, but really satisfactory when you succeed.

That is so awesome. I really need the Wii Fit Trainer, but there is no way I can afford her. And Pit. Having him stolen was the worst. My little brother really misses him.
I really, really need Robin, Lucina, Ness, and Pac-Man. They were the 4 amiibos that I absolutely wanted for myself, and I actually had money lined up for them, but now with circumstances what they are, I'm going to miss out.
Why did Nintendo have to put them all in the same wave? If they had just released one or two of them at the tail end of last year, I may have been able to get them.friskykillface

By far my favorite amiibo yet. Love the look of the trim on his robe, and that detail on his glove seams -- And that boss hammer!
Really hoping we get a Legend of Zelda amiibo line for the game release at the end of the year with new models. I'm not a huge fan of the supports on these things -- there's a couple unobtrusive ones that I'd let slide, but FUCK that thing coming out of Link.

So a FutureShop had Dedede in stock and I reserved him, and they included an Ike randomly in the reservation as well. I already have a boxed one of him for my boxed collection, so I don't know what to do with him.
My three mains are Link, Ike and Marth. I'm going to get two Marths when it gets re-released (one for my collection, and one to use). Marth will likely just be a common at that point, as is Link.
But do I dare open this spare Ike? Or should I save him for a trade (only missing Marth and Villager at this point, and hopefully my Villager solution pans out).

Pit had arrived in the mail (thank you, kierwynn), I had given away my Villager to a friend (who adores the Animal Crossing series to bits), and the Blue Bomber had arrived. Oh, and I was able to get King Dedede & Meta Knight months ago through Amazon Japan.
