I almost have to laugh at Mega Man ending up being common.
I think, before release, there was too much mental baggage causing panic with him; after Capcom kicking him in the metal nuts for a decade, it would have been just be perfect if Nintendo printed like 5 amiibos because LOL who cares about Mega Man.
I think smash alone is ultimately sending the signal that Nintendo cares about mega man more than capcom. First the inclusion in the game, then the amazing final smash and now a decent supply of Mega man amiibos? It's pretty amazing once you think about it.

I was wondering if my Mega Man was a misprint because his arm is away from his head when all the others I've seen his megabuster is pretty much touching his head?
Check the release dateHey so....has the gamecube adapter become fairly common to find? Have I been away for that long?

And yet, from this wave, he and Sonic were the only ones that made sense to make common. I'll tell ya, the common that surprises me the most is Sheik. I get that it's from a Zelda game, but she was only in 1 mainline one so it's not like it's a well known character, plus it's female (to me anyways, I know there is some debate). All the other commons are fairly recognizable characters, and then there's weird ninja looking girl.
Just got an e-mail from Walmart.
It looks like the delays were already cleared up earlier by reading the thread, but yah.
EARLIER THAN EXPECTED!
Holy shit I totally forgot about it. I really haven't played much of Smash because I've been waiting to get one. Still can't get one for under $40 on Amazon. I guess $50 for one and a controller isn't so bad but I already have 4 GC controllers and a WaveBird so I mean..
*sigh*
Megaman and Sonic in stock for those who haven't got him yet...

Might be trading for Marth, Meta Knight, and Shulk all still sealed!
Very exciting.
What are you trading?
What are you trading?
You need a forwarder service like Tenso to ship them to you in NA. Otherwise they can't ship it to you because of some import law. This may be a foolish question but does amazon.co.jp ship to NA?.......................................................................

Yep, I heard about it before. But it is nice to receive an official email about it. I just got the email too
Cool, thanks.
So where's everyone hoping to get their pre-orders in for Wave 4? What's your preferred retailer?... Any good experiences? Seem like most are not good...
I'm really hoping ill be able to pre order from amazon. I feel like I have the least to worry about that way. Gamestop, Toys R Us, and Best Buy all seem to have their respective headaches go on. But I might pre order from TRU and Amazon (one to open, one to keep sealed) since I get an employee discount at TRU.
In store? GameStop. I got my Shulk with no issues. I thought I wouldn't get him seeing how rare he is and my GS not being Nintendo heavy compared to others.Cool, thanks.

Ness is obscure so he'll probably have a limited run. That's why he might be popular and hard to find.
It'll be like Captain Falcon again, basically.
Of course, Captain is getting another print run so not all hope is lost if the first shipment doesn't work out.

Online? Best Buy. Some arrived earlier than the street date and were packaged well. Plus the GCU is great. I have pre ordered C Falcon, Pit, Zelda, Toon Link, Ike and Sheik from them.
I pre ordered Shulk and yeah. My store got 3 of them, all pre orders. So did you walk in to Gamestop and they weren't out of pre-orders for Shulk? Seems like if I try to go to a physical location I'll miss out on them...
And for Best Buy, are you just sitting there hitting refresh on their Amiibo page all day?...
Congrats on the Shulk, btw.
To be honest the low supply of Falcon surprised me because of Nintendo putting emphasis on the character - the F-Zero content for Mario Kart 8 and an unlockable Amiibo costume in the same. Plus Falcon is kind of a poster character for Smash.
Yeah most of the physical retailers had issues with fulfillment, didn't they? Did Amazon as well?
You work at Toys 'r' Us? Are you privy to all the secret insider info?
I hate when you're so looking forward to get certain amiibo, especially when it's so rare, and when you finally have it, you literally can't even touch it because knowing how rare it is, it can help for trading purposes for another rare amiibo and that way you don't even get to enjoy them properly because Nintendo only creates 5 figures of the rare ones. FML.

Ness... Ness is going to be hell, it's already sold out in our hearths.
Amazon has issues too but with amazon if they screw something up i can always call them or chat them and theyve always fixed it.
Sadly I dont know anything more than you do. My R Zone seems to think that once the SMB amiibos are released wave 4 pre orders will go live. But thats totally speculation, not official word. We havent got any pre order cards or anything of the sort. We have a few people who collect amiibo in the store so I'd know if anything was happening.

When are the SMB Series supposed to release? Coinciding with MP10, probably? I can't find a release date online. Thanks!
Well cool, with how quickly online pre-orders seem to disappear I thought for sure brick-and-mortar stores would run out even quicker, but it's good to know I may have a backup plan. I've never pre-ordered anything in my life but I almost didn't get a Marth and I'm not willing to miss out on Ness...
Oh man that sounds like a bummer, to not be able to enjoy them. I have Villager and Marth just thrown in a big box with all my other Amiibos and my Wii U controllers. I even let my two year old play with them. Her favorite is Donkey Kong

If you get to buy one, buy two of each instead. Problem solved!
Next Friday, March 20th (in NA, at least). Mario bundled with the game; Luigi, Peach, Toad, Yoshi, and Bowser standalone. Standalone Gold Mario as a WalMart exclusive. All on the same day!
OK, that's what I thought, thanks. It's weird, it appears that the entire SMB line is up for pre-order on Amazon.co.uk (sans Toad, of course) but they're all completely sold out on Amazon.com, is that how it usually goes?
