Amiibo Thread 5 | Because we didn't preorder thread 4

So I'm at Walmart holding a gold mario in my hands but I don't really want it. Should I buy it for trading and stuff? Anyone here want one and got anything for trade?

The Super Mario line is rad. Looking around my stores for a Toad now.
 
Just got back from the Wal-Mart in Shawnee Oklahoma, they had 6 Gold Marios on the shelf. I didn't think I'd be able to get one today this late, but I did!

it may have taken me over 2 hours of driving around but I scored everything I wanted.

I was waiting for a nearby gamestop to open that showed the toad amiibo as in stock. out of pure curiosity I checked walmart's website for a gold mario and lo and behold.. a store 15 minutes away showed them as in stock. I figured there'd be no way as they had most likely sold out at midnight last night but I had some time to kill so I drove over.

checked the amiibo section and.. nothing. not even a peg with the name/barcode on it. I figured since I was already there I'd ask an employee and what do you know, they had them in a box behind the register.

I went back to gamestop to try for a toad but they apparently had only enough to fill pre-orders. I did manage to snag their last non-preorder copy of MP10 though.

I stopped by toys r us afterwards and didn't see sign of ANY MP10 amiibos. I finally checked targets website and saw toad in stock in a couple stores. I went to the nearest one and managed to snag him (they had 4 total)

I don't think i'll bother with the rest of the MP10 line as I already have their smash counterparts, but I'm happy with my haul today :)

Good lookin' haul. Especially in front of those flowers, wow!
 
I tried so hard not to buy any of the Mario line...and there's Toad sitting on my desk right now. I have no games that even use him right now, though I half expect Captain Toad as DLC for Smash.

Walked right into Target where they had a bunch on the shelf. Thought I'd stop at my closest Walmart that wasn't 24 hours, they didn't have a single one of the new ones (doesn't say much, it's a low volume store that's going to close within the next few years).
 
Went into Target today. Got MP Bowser and Toad. They were implementing strict one per person rules for Bowser and Toad and had them behind the counter.

Still waiting for Gold Mario to ship. Am I the only one?
 
The Mario amiibo line is just so much better than the Smash, they were clearly designed with amiibo in mind first (so no awkward smash supports).

I placed my order on March 16th and still shows processing but I just got off the phone with walmart.com and the guy said that on his end it shows it will be shipped today
 
I got in the first wave, saw processing around midnight, and got shipping around 1:40 am, since they're going by waves I wouldn't worry too much.
 
Goldie Mario looks better than I expected. Nice detail to put the M emblem on hist hat and the eyes with another shade so it can shows.
 
Got Bowser, Peach and Luigi delivered today. Yoshi, Toad and Gold Mario should be in either Monday / Tuesday.

I might buy a second Bowser to open. He looks so good!
 
Damn it all! I went to pick up my Toad preorder and walked out with the whole set (gold mario is on the way too). Now I'm in for TWO series of Amiibo. I need to be as frugal as I can be because I'm going to state college this fall, and my collector mentality just won't let me. :(
 
I suppose Toad is not rare? I found the whole set at Target on my way home from work this afternoon. Got them all except peach and yoshi. Got the mario from the MP 10 bundle but anyway here's my issue..

I went to Gamestop to try and preorder Toad and all the in store pre orders were gone but they had a pay now ship to you option which I did and now a second Toad is on its way to me. I would love to try and trade 1 of them but if it's not rare no one will want to :(
