No seriously, I just do stupid surveys and earn free gift cards, the only Amiibos that I put cash on was Rosalina, a Japanese Marth and Japanese WiiFit Trainer
What types do you do? Would love to do some in my spare-time.
Tried out Amiibo Party today. Call me crazy but I like it. I wish the maps were more complicated but nevertheless I still had fun. Involving the amiibo is gimmicky but they feel like game pieces so I enjoyed it. One of my kids (too young to play right now) used the amiibo to roll the dice and used it whenever it was called for.

I own all released amiibo (say for Gold Mario which has yet to ship or get cancelled) plus the display cabinet I made specifically for my amiibo collection, also factoring in the semi inflated prices (I paid slightly more than MSRP for a couple of the hard-to-find ones) plus the doubles I bought for future trades, we're looking at a final price of just under $800 in four months.
Wow. I just now did the math for the first time and had no idea how expensive this all was. It's looks as if I should slow down a bit and think about my expenses as a whole.
I'm, of course, kidding. I'm in it for the long haul and see no signs of stopping! BRING ON WAVE 4!!!!
Got Peach, Luigi, and Bowser today! Plus picked up a DK since that was the last of the original Smash characters I needed. There were still a few Toads left but I've got one coming in the mail and they all looked like they had pretty good paint jobs so didn't bother. Hope that doesn't come back to haunt me.
Now I just need the Mario Amiibo and I'll be good. It'd better be released separately because I don't really need Mario Party nor do I wish to import. :/

Checked Wal-Mart and GameStop for Toad today...not sure if they sold out or didn't get him yet, 'cause there was nothing there. Wal-Mart did have (empty) pegs for Gold Mario that were obviously gone by 6pm, but there were no spaces for the other Mario line amiibos so it looks like they only got Gold Mario? I want a Toad but it's not a huge deal to me, so we'll see what happens.

Here in my country we got all the Super Mario Series Amiibo, including the Gold Mario from official stores... Yet we don't have any sight of Bowser Amiibo. Anyone knows if is there any problem with the shipments of that Amiibo?
But Little Mac is more valuable than WFT and Marth. Arguably more valuable than Villager even, unless we're talking only the US version of Villager.
Still, I think it's a fair trade if you want the other amiibo.

Surveys can be horribly frustrating because 6/8 times you'll be disqualified (either do to your race, your income level, or even if you work or have seen a movie, you'll never know why usually). You can do either Gold Surveys, Peanut Surveys, or Partner Surveys (you can also take advantage of their videos and set them as a search engine)
If you want to feel accomplished, just do surveys until you reach the daily goal (Peanut Surveys constantly refresh and are bountiful, but are some of the biggest pains to qualify for).
Swagbucks is a big chunk of my amiibo collecting.
You can also run Perk TV while you sleep and Bing Rewards
Perk is neat because it auto cycles through videos and credits you anywhere between 1 and 3 points, although after roughly and hour or 2 it will will put up a box that says "are you still watching?" which stops your Perk app until you press "Yes". It's an unspoken rule that you can have up to 5 smart deices connected to a single account (although thats because with the amount of points you can rack on 5 devices, the payout cost is much higher). Although I recommend you just plug in your devices, and set the screen tone to lo so your phone doesn't use up more power than it's receiving, and turn your setting for your screen to time out off (if a video takes too long to load, your phone will assume you'r inactive and put your phone to sleep mode, turning off the app)
Bing is the smallest and slowest process, but you can have up to 5 accounts (just make BS Hotmail accounts) per PC. And you can earn as little as 15 credits a day (a $5 Gamestop payout is 525 credits, 475 if you're Gold status), but you can finish a single credit earn in less than 3 minutes if you put in the effort, and becoming Gold status is rather simple.
Swagbucks and Perk are great because they also offer Canadian Amazon Gift cards.

I can't agree with this or at least not necessarily.
The faces are more expressive and arguably better with the Super Mario line of Amiibos and they are bigger and more colorful but when it comes down to detail, some of the Smash ones are superior.
Amiibos are serious business. Wouldn't surprise me if there are a couple amiibros missing kidneys lololol

My dream would be Smash detail without having poses beholden to Smash trophies. Allow for characters to be reposed so random support columns are unnecessary.
The Super Mario line are too similar to the Jakks Pacific toys, and those toys are a lot cheaper.
Cedar Rapids, Iowa! Not sure why it was there. I definitely snatched it up. She was the only non-common Amiibo there. They didn't even have the Mario series yet!

Wii Fit U2. Get Fit with Bono. Is gonna be revealed next week and release on summer instead of Splatoon so at least Nintendo is doing a second run of WFT.

Not all of them have translated names. I think some like King Dedede, Toon Link and Villager do.
I thought LatAm and US Amiibo had the same exact package. Translations and all.

Picked up a Luigi from the Mario set today. No plans to double up on any characters I already have but I held off on Luigi because I like this one better. Gonna get Toad soon, gotta say I love the new Bowser too. Wish I would've skipped the Smash one.
