I'm confused. How do I back this from europe ? I can't find about Europe and Amazon payment requiers to be US resident

The pledge drive sounds pretty neat, will be listening in all day at work.
That wouldn't unlock the KS money. It needs to be raised within the bounds of Kickstarter.

You don't need to be a US resident to use Amazon Payments. You just enter your billing address, wherever that may be.
I'm pretty sure you can increase your pledge amount but still keep the $35 Reward selection that you're at.

I've donated to a bazillion KS from the UK and had no problem, I dunno if it's a US-and-UK thing.
It's quite frequent for a Kickstarter to also offer Paypal donating for people who are unable to use the Amazon system (in that instance, generally due to lack-of-credit-cards). The problem, though, is that there's an understanding that you don't do that until you reach the Kickstarter goal itself - money taken through Paypal is taken immediately and doesn't count towards the target (but does end up in their budget, of course). Hence why you want the Kickstarter to have already reached the target safely: If a creator takes Paypal pledges and then the Kickstarter is *unsuccessful*, they've recieved money without the means (or indeed the obligation) to follow through on development, so if they're honest they have the hassle of figuring out how to return it, and if they're dishonest... bye bye money.
Much safer to only open paypal pledging beyond the target.
I'm pretty sure if you change your tier to the $40 from the $35 one, you will no longer get the DLC credit. Instead, you'll get the early access to the game.
You can also just pledge more and not change your tier.
If you choose the $40 tier, that'll open up your $35 slot, and that's probably not what you want - given the $35 tier was limited, I suspect those specific rewards are limited to that specific tier. Probably best to ask Harmonix. It should be within their capability to permit you to up your donation to $40 while safeguarding your place in the $35 tier and have their system understand that you want the $40 reward too. That said, they may be intending $35 and $40 to be exclusive to one another.

You're obviously free to give them five more dollars and stay at the 35 dollar tier selection. That's what I'm doing since I don't really care about getting the game two weeks early.

I just have my creditcard on my KS account. No amazon payment. I live in Sweden.
You don't need to be a US resident. I'm Canadian and used amazon payment. I logged in with my Amazon.ca credentials and used my Canadian credit card attached to the account.

It's obviously had a high number of VERY big backers in the last couple of days which is really pushing the average up. This Kickstarter hasn't suddenly taken off thanks to people buying the game, it's a small number of people making very large contributions - I wonder how close they are to Harmonix.
I didn't back it myself and won't. Just find that "early bird" tier a bit gross. Either your game's $15 or it's $20, and punishing fans of the game because they weren't on the internet at the right time is a bit crap of them really.
Out of interest, why do you gravitate to interpreting it as a punishment for those that don't and not a reward for those that did?

While that's fair enough if you don't like that, it's not entirely unusual for a Kickstarter - the idea is that it gets things going and builds the first bit of momentum. Hell, games go on sale from time to time. But that's just my view on it.

What do people think this needs to get over the line? It's going there, there'll need to be a few big donations at the higher levels, but I think there still needs to be another kick - yesterday's DLC code thing did a kick, maybe there's at least one more tier needed to grab people.

I kind of think that they should have kept the $15 price and then made it $20 when it went released (a reward for backers). But I guess it made it so people wanted to back, which can only be a good thing.

Because it'd be a "reward" for nothing. Basically you're being "rewarded" because you happened to be on the internet at x time. Whereas someone who was at the shop or at school or watching TV or whatever else loses out through no fault of their own because there's no way they could have known about it.
I get that it's common and Harmonix are just doing what everyone else has done, but it doesn't make me like it any more. It's just one of those really crap things about Kickstarters.
Why not tell people the game will cost $20 when it's released, but everyone who pledges to the Kickstarter gets it for $15? That feels a lot more inclusive to me, but then obviously money I guess.

This is going to be a close call - the folks at Harmonix must be shitting their pants right now. It's still got a lot of money to make and a short amount of time to do it in, but with that recent momentum it's certainly doable.

It'll make it, no problem. If it doesn't make it of its own accord then it will certainly get close enough for someone at Harmonix to push it over the line.
What if the game is $25 when it's released?
Also, life is full of "rewards" for being at the right place at the right time. Get used to it.

Hah, nah, it's a different thing. Black Friday doesn't just turn up completely unannounced, offering people who happen to be there a discount that no one else is entitled to.
I dunno, I don't think I'm being that weird for thinking it's a bit of a crap way to treat fans of the franchise. I can see why they did it, but I won't ever like it.

They've got 140k to make in just two days now, so I don't think it'll be as easy as you make out. I'm chuffed as hell that this Kickstarter practically rose like the phoenix after all those days of it making precious little progress though. Really in awe that it has a good chance now of meeting its goal.
