Wasn't going to make the goal anyway.Yeah, that's disappointing.
1,125,000 for the first Stretch? ambitious... should have been a Vita version >:|
1,125,000 stretch goal - online 1vs1 MP

Wait, did I just hear that local multiplayer is included in the original $775k?

That's what, $350k for online multiplayer -- and that's only part of the budget? I know videogames are expensive, but that seems really high... I would have figured it would have been 100-200k or something. Do they need to hire 3-4 more engineers for that?
There won't be a Vita version![]()
If the multiplayer is that much the Vita just wont make it.,Did they say that in the stream?
To be honest, I don't really give a shit about online multiplayer in a rhythm game.
Wish the extra money was used to get more licensed songs.

Hmxhenry: Do NOT anticipate VITA early on as a stretch goal. It's possible, but not likely. It would be VERY expensive.
I still see a VITA version without a stretch goal since they are making a PS3 version.
Call me naive, but I'm clapping for fairies here.
I'm not questioning that at all... but I've seen other projects add online functionality and while it's a pain in the ass to get right, it didn't cost half a million dollars (if we're going with the same ratio of funding for the main project). I think part of it is that if it is that expensive, I think the money would be better off used funding more tracks or a Vita port.Writing netcode is expensive and difficult.
Then don't fret because it won't be in the game!Yeah but I'm not interested in online multiplayer
Me neither.Yeah but I'm not interested in online multiplayer
That's what I thought. Harmonix has never made a Vita game, and I'm assuming they'd basically have to spend money porting their PS3/4 engine down to run on a Vita.
