That looks great.

Andor being made by the creators of Rogue One is amazing.

Rogue One was the best Star Wars since ESB and this is looking to be as good.

Hopefully it lives up to it.

Star Wars needs to put the Jedi/Sith stuff to bed for a while, a 5 years hiatus of anything related to Jedi/Sith would be great, more of further exploration of the Star Wars universe without 'The Force' is needed.

I'm all down for a smaller scale SW show. It's what I wanted Obi-Wan to be.

I consider Rogue One to be the only great Disney SW media so I'm looking forward to this. It's also supposedly only going to be two seasons before it connects to Rogue One so at least it will have a focused story.

This actually looks OK.
And I'm happy with the fleshing out of rogue ones story a bit, that was by far the best SW we've had in a long time.

It’s set 5 years before Rogue One.

24 episodes total. Season 1 is the first year.

Season 2 is the last four years before Rogue One with three episodes covering a year and the final episode directly leading into Rogue One like the end of Rogue One directly connects to ANH.

It would be so cool if Felicity Jones did a cameo in the last episode

Well she’s in prison at that time.

Doesn't mean they can't fit it in somewhere. Maybe during his spy work, he does a prisoner exchange for the Empire and Jyn is one of the prisoners. Disney sure does love to do fan service even when it's not asked (Vader in the Obi-Wan show or the Han flashback in TRoS) so they can at least do it when it's somewhat appropriate.

It's also worth noting that Jyn is my favorite women character in SW since she had more spunk than the rest and this is going to be the last opportunity for Felicity Jones to return, even if its brief, so I would like to see it.

Thats such an odd structure, does this mean the show is entirely written already?

I'm curious if we are getting more Jyn/Mads Micklleson stuff or what. If this is just the covert action arm of the Rebellion then I fear we are gonna get a lot of Jimmy Smits and tween Leia. What story WOULDN'T concern itself with saving jedi/force sensitives from the Inquisition/Vader?

The Empire was a TOTALLY LEGAL transition from the Republic, so are they saying it was a faked election? Are they pulling some sort of 6 Jan thing? If so, THAT would be for a genius angle :p

Though TBH at best I think they will be trying to uncover evidence of Empire fuckery/atrocities to convince Senators to pull support away and that eventually culminates in the dissolution of the Senate. Seems like Rebels would fit in here as well. The aliens from the animated stuff never look that great in live action (and I'm including Ahsoka with her latex head) but I'd be down for Hera and co in this. I just hope we get more swashbuckly fun action instead of maudlin drama, poorly worked out action (SHAME Robert Rodriquez, SHAME!)(and Gilroy -should- be nailing this part), and juuuuuust enough "hey, thats the droid from.....!!!" memberberry callbacks to sustain moderate interest. Fett and OBW REALLY put a dent in my ST enthusiasm.

The first time the Star Wars galaxy seems bigger, wider. Thought that the premise was stupid first, but now I’m really looking forward for it.

That looks amazing, and exactly what I had hoped to see from Star Wars. Too bad its coming so late, and why the hell didn't this come BEFORE Rouge One. It would have been so much more impactful a film had this been first.

Hot DAYUUUM 🔥🔥🔥 that looks fucking amazing! Despite the rough patches over the last few years, I think we've only seen the beginning of how awesome SW is gong to be in the coming years and decades. Can't wait!

It looks great visually and I'm glad they pulled in Skarsguard for this, but damn I am sick of stories surrounding the movies.

I thought the first shot of the star destroyer looked awful....you can tell it is not a practical effect and it looks cheap.

The rest of the trailer looked pretty cool. Mon Mothma and the gang running around. I am down for it.

Disney has already proven multiple times that they still don't understand SW so I have zero expectations this will be any good. Like sure, Mando was good, but Boba Fett and Obiwan were pretty god damn awful.
The franchise has pretty much devolved into a tool for Disney to push for more D+ subs.

It's obvious they want it to all tie-in as a cinematic universe like Marvel. But they really need to expand the universe, especially beyond fucking Tatooine which is somehow the most important planet in the universe.

The props team called the day and there is a rebel with a "clean" AK there. :)

Lammas trailer; Equinox release.

Nailed it.

This show was announced for development a very long time ago. The time taken appears to have been well invested. The keys in that music...hnngggg.
Even the Last King of Jedha looks to have taken his role more seriously.

Ice Cube might think it isn't going to be a good day.

Looking forward to seeing if that was an intentional placement. It's quite obvious if it catches the eye.

The budget and look of this just seem magnitudes better than Kenobi. Kinda sad that Kenobi seemingly got the shaft in terms of budget and writing considering the weight of those characters to the universe. I'm not one to believe in Disney trashing the classic characters intentionally, but it just baffles my mind. They couldn't even be bothered with decent music in Kenobi. Everything about it was subpar except for the final battle.

From what I can tell, Andor will have had at least 6 more months more in production than Kenobi. Take that with a grain of salt but it seems obvious it's had more time in the oven.

I'm trying to think of just how tonally crap a trailer would have to be for me to not watch a star wars show. Something like Leia having a Disney xD Hanna Montana style sitcom where she is dutiful daughter by day, rock and roll rebel by night? He'll, I'd watch a MLPxStar Wars crossover "Friendship is the light side".

The visuals and production values look 10X better than Obi Wan. I guess they actually have to convince people to watch this and can't just go "nostalgia!!!....original actors!!!".

But I can't get myself to give a crap about any of this.
"Witness the unnecessary prequel story from a side character of an unnecessary prequel movie who will eventually help get the plans of the Death Star which will allow the Rebels to win...which in the end was pretty worthless as the status quo in the universe stays the same for 30 years because JJ Abrams couldn't be bothered to write something original so he essentially just remade Episode IV".

cheststrongwell

my cake, fuck off
I have enjoyed all the shows(especially Mando), but I wish they would stop it with the prequels. Give us some new characters in a story that takes place well after Return of the Jedi. There is a whole universe to explore, fuck all this Jedi and Empire shit. Can't wait for the Teen Leia show!
