I think it's still buggy. If you read through the reviews on the playstore post update some people have been having random performance problems and quite a few people have complained of some kind of blurry text rendering bug.
1. Go to google.com on your tablet
2. Type in what you want to search for
3. Tap the wrench icon for advanced search options
4. Try to change the time or results

It happened since chrome beta got released, and never got fixed.

The Japanese go out of their ways to avoid using a large screen phone.

Mean while, the rest of the world move on and use 5" phones.

Well, one has to admit the way they use the dual screen really seems to work this time. Of course, you probably can do all that stuff one one huge screen, but I get what they're aiming for and it seems to work pretty well.

As opposed to all other dual screen mobile phones before this one.

what did they do that the Kyocera Echo didn't?

Hey guys. I have a project for college that involves development of an android app. I was thinking about doing something with the Galaxy Note S-Pen.

Anyone knows where I can find information about how to develop for the S-Pen? Is there something for it in the Android SDK? Info about input recognition, etc?

Thanks got your help!

Can anyone with a Note II confirm that MLB.tv video works on the device?

Yes.

So got the chrome update now and fonts look blurry. Wtf did Google do? (Nexus 4)

Looking at play store reviews for this update seems to show a bunch if people with similar problem.

Safari is the one thing I really miss about having an iPhone.

It certainly looks like Samsung have taken inspiration from Apple's passbook but, with nfc, might make it actually worthwhile.

Yeah, introducing something like passbook without NFC is really stupid. But I guess you need hold back something for your next device.

According to the Verge post, NFC 'tap to pay' is not part of Wallet. Does that mean that NFC isn't actually utilized in it at all?

When we asked why Samsung did not include NFC tap-to-pay features in Wallet, the company said that retailers prefer barcodes over NFC because they don't have to install any new infrastructure to support it. Samsung didn't rule out NFC features in Wallet for the future, however.

I filed a bug report on the blurry text about a month ago.

I see how engineering is at Google...shovel a pile of shit out there and if enough people complain then go back and fix it. Apparently too much work to check if a bug report is valid otherwise.

Looking at reviews seems like the micro-transactions are kind of ridiculous though.

IGN's review editor said he spent like 30+ hours on the game and never spent a cent.

On a side note this game raises the graphical bar for phones and tablets.

On a side note to help with the jaggies go into your android settings, and then make sure you have developer settings turned on.

Then look for the force MSAA 4x for Open ES 2.0 games and check it. Not a magical fix, but it seemed to work.

Its quite impressive. If Codemaster can make a rally game I will officially pronounce the death of portable consoles.

I still prefer buttons but maybe that is only me. I don't like tilt because I don't think it is precise enough or I move too much to make it precise and using the touchscreen for buttons has not been perfect. A couple of times I have tried to turn and my car doesn't turn.

Holo is great but there's room to grow. The goal of apps isn't to mimic holo as best as possible. Those guidelines are there if you know you can't design for jack. Otherwise, devs should try their hand at making something that feels great but isn't holo-ified to a T.

RIP X phone?
If you were hoping to see a revelatory smartphone from Motorola in the coming months, you might want to tone down those expectations. Google's Chief Financial Officer and Senior Vice President Patrick Pichette today said that products in Motorola's current and upcoming pipeline "aren't 'wow' by Google standards." The surprisingly honest admission came during Pichette's session at the Morgan Stanley Technology Conference. When questioned on where things stand with Motorola at the moment, Pichette didn't mince words.

"The case with Motorola is that we've inherited a pipeline," he said, which Google executives have previously stated in the past. "Motorola has a great set of products, but they're not really like 'wow' by Google standards. Dennis Woodside and his team have inherited 18 months of pipeline that we have to drain right now."

That man should not be trusted. He also said this-

At today's Morgan Stanley media conference, Google Chief Financial Officer and Senior Vice President Patrick Pichette expressed hopes that Chrome OS would become for the PC market what Android is for mobile.

I can't download it on my Nexus 4. Can anyone confirm they have the same issue? Much appreciated.

I had this issue on my One XL. Google told me my device was "incompatible" or whatever. Just grabbed the apk online since it's free anyways. Works fine.

You gotta get an app that locks and "hides" files. They basically just move them to a locked directory.

I guess sense had that function built in.

Put a no media file in the folder. Google it.

Nah I'm sure the XPhone exists. It just isn't some Google designed phone apparently. Probably something that was already in the pipeline, with a miniscule amount of Google input.

We will be waiting until summer 2014 for the first real 'new' phone from Motorola, lol.

I wonder after seeing Real Racing 3 what a company could do with this years chipsets in regarding Open ES 2.0. Love to see what say Real Racing 4 could look like on a Tegra 4 device.

Whatever it looks like on a Tegra 4, it will look even better on the Apple A7.
