Ask me about the GAF Notebook
Whatever it looks like on a Tegra 4, it will look even better on the Apple A7.

That I don't doubt. Love to see what Firemonkey could pull on the next gen iPad or Nexus 10 for that matter with those crazy screens. Apple always seems to be ahead of the curve especially GPU wise though.

to add onto these reviews and hands on stuff:

HTC One Review: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kmsx0ddLtJM

Also hands-on reviews from gsmarena and anandtech: http://www.gsmarena.com/htc_one-review-889.php and http://www.anandtech.com/show/6754/h...ne-formerly-m7

They all seem to really like it so far. Sense 5 being received well. They all seem to be singing praises about the hardware quality/screen/camera (aka fuck the megapixel war this shit is legit). Anandtech really praises it.

another video review: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HezHlJVzZmk

and more links here for hands on stuff and reviews, credit to xda: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2167592

I'll give props to HTC, seems like people are liking the new sense mostly, and the camera risk has paid off apparently, and the rest is expectedly good.

I dunno, the One looks impressive I guess...

...I blame this Galaxy Nexus. Seriously.

The first phone that has been SO good to me that I've yet to feel that tech envy I usually get a few months into ownership. The only thing in that review that made me somewhat jealous, was that full screen news feed widget (reader widget is my homepage). That's it. Over a year later and outside the shit battery, my Nexus has been absolutely, relentlessly amazing.

Maybe I'm just ready for Android 5, I dunno.

galaxy nexus has shitty screen (in comparison) shitty camera shitty battery life and subpar build quality. TIME TO UPGRADE BRAH.

But yeah the One is definitely better than I thought it would be. I'm interested in seeing final reviews from the large north american outlets, who have been most vocal on HTC lately.

I feel just like you do, especially since I started using a 3,800 mAh battery with my Galaxy Nexus. I understand the Nexus 4 and GS III have advantages over the GN, and I love the size of the Note II, but I'm still completely satisfied with my GN.

But I'm definitely eager to be wowed and wooed by The Next Big Thing.

Upgrade to what? HTC? A TouchWiz device? I still wouldn't get anything over a Galaxy Nexus LTE today. Then again I'm ridiculously biased for stock (and stock-based ROMs).

if you're happy you're happy. That's all that matters.

The design aesthetic of Sense 5 is way better than TouchPiss
word up. Need the functionality of touchwiz with the looks of sense 5 and we have ourselves a beast skin. Obviously keep things like zoe in the camera and whatnot. That shit looks beast.

I guess on March 14th we see if Samsung's S4 is a big step above or not. Too bad it's so far. But HTC has definitely done better than I thought, that is if these early reviews are any indication. Still waiting on reviews from the bigger american outlets who have been more outspoken regarding HTC. If they're also overwhelmingly positive it will be interesting.

Low light pics taken with the HTC One vs Lumia 920 and S3. Here HTC wins: http://img.benchmark.rs/42300/mrak2.jpg
Here Lumia wins: http://img.benchmark.rs/42300/mrak1.jpg
Lumia wins again (I think? hard to tell): http://img.benchmark.rs/42300/mrak3.jpg
And again: http://img.benchmark.rs/42300/mrak4.jpg

Not a bad showing though. The S3 is horrible in comparison lol.

It needs to wow me sometime in the 3-4 months so I can buy this shit. If they are planning this for the end of the year, that's too late for me

Why would it be $430? The 16 gig is only $350....

PS: Holy shit please tell me your main phone isn't an N1 Coperdickus?!?!?

The only thing I could think of was the South Park episode where Kyle asks how much money they have left and Cartman says ummm 3 dollars. Then they get pissed, and Cartman goes on to say how he forget how much he sucks at math. LOL

pretty easy to be horrible when peeps use stock settings, it becomes a default settings battle vs a camera battle.

haha

=(

pctx should I get an n4 to tide me over until the x?
wait for the next galaxy. it will have the most supporters in ROM City.

looks like Firefox OS

Here's a puzzle I'm working on: how can I remotely set the alarm on an Android device from another Android device? The receiving one has wifi only, not cellular. Are there any Tasker triggers that would allow me to do this?

Not quite an alarm, but if you add an event to your calendar you'll get a notification.

I don't see why not, Tasker can control Gentle Alarm and "Sleepbot". I don't know what Sleepbot is but that sound like an alarm.

The chrome update seems to have made it smoother, still hate that bookmarks are two clicks instead of one like the android browser.

That right there is unusable. The rooted version of Android 4.1 is out for Galaxy Note, I don't know know if I want to upgrade and then lost my ICS browser. I will wait 2 more revisions of Chrome.

this X phone better fucking deliver, cause i'm still rocking my 20 minute life GNex LTE
Realistically this is what you'll get at the bare minimum:

Possibly latest version of android/quick upgrades due to very light skin
Amazing battery life (likely)
average screen/camera
not bad hardware quality at all, possibly good if google truly designed it all

That's the bare minimum expectation I'd say. And even with that it'd be worth the upgrade from a Gnex.

Thanks for changing up adb for Android 4.2.2 and requiring new stuff. You've made my afternoon since my existing setup no longer works. K thnx bye
