so yeah I'm thinking the LG phone is definitely in some sort of dummy box, it just seems a little obvious in that top pic.

Trifling motherfu..... Clean your goddamn house JESUS. Or blur/pixelate the background out like Japenese porn or some shit. Im trying to look at a phone for Christs sake.

Who takes a photo of something like this and focuses on the background? What an ass lol

I'm liking how the side power button is becoming the norm. Good. It's a big improvement.

I'm trying to imagine the phone without the box on and it actually has potential to be pretty damn sleek.

Sounds like an iPhone 4 :p I mean, the border looks somewhat grey-ish, like the iPhone 4/4s and well, the same form factor and the back looks like it too.
I like the Galaxy Nexus design much more, obviously we need better pics without the cover.

I think I like the back but I need to see it in RL.

That said, there's a high chance I'm getting rid of my S3... will miss my swappable battery but I NEED stock Android and a non-fugly design.

You guys think it's going to have the same 2100mAH battery as the Optimus G? It really want them to bump it up a little.

And, dat bezel..

fuck yes on all this news...

10 inch tablet day 1 just like the N7...

hoping i can get my hands on an optimus nexus on day 1 too. need those updates. feels like nexus is the way to go. only question is LTE for me

Yet again, on screen keys are used when there's plenty of space on the bottom bezel for capacitive keys. Also, those black levels...

The initial shots of the LG phone look good. Hopefully it won't be too long until we find out more info.

Im so happy they are staying with software keys. Its very clear thats their direction for the OS. Stuff like launching Google Now is fucking hilarious with hard keys in comparison to software keys that are much more agile. Its nice that they continue to support both though so folks can choose what they like.

Also, those black levels...

Ohhhhh boy here we go.

OLED Screen: "Those terrible white levels!"

LCD Screen: "Those terrible black levels!"

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Thats why I don't care about Nexus phones. Not to mention google's lazy solution of not including the sd card.

LCD at 720p generally looks better than Super AMOLED at 720p... At least when it comes to pentile AMOLED's. Although I'll miss the super deep blacks if they move to an LCD.

I will too but the better whites and overall benefits of LCD outweigh the benefits of oled with blacks IMHO, either way I am suprised by the look of this phone and in a very good way. Looks like a Gnexus with better materials, thinner and slightly bigger screen. My upgrade in August cannot come quick enough!!!

Looks nice. A lot like the Gnex except the back of course. The bezel on the sides look thin but not the top and bottom. Personally I'm happy with Gnex and probably hold on till tmobile launches its lte till I upgrade.

How will Google be able to put a $99 Nexus 7 on the market?

TN screen. Same internals as the half year old N7. 8GB.

New Nexus back looks ugly in the photos (though it may just be the flash making it look bad). Headphone jack on top OMG why.

my predicition is only 1 new Nexus this fall.... then early next year we'll see the other manufacturers come out with their own.
